When Bonzo turns out to be the answer to the football teams troubles, the only solution is to enroll him college.
This is NOT the same Bonzo character from the original. A shameless cash grab apeing off a superior film.
Couple of good jokes though

Shoutout to @dragonsblood23 for the request.
Very rarely does a sequel outshine its predecessor. Bonzo Goes to College is so stupid you can't help but love it. It's loose and borderline nonexistent plot structure makes this film jam packed with wacky ape shenanigans. You'll find yourself chuckling a lot while watching it. You also gotta appreciate the character progression that Bonzo goes through in his two-movie series. In Bedtime For Bonzo, Bonzo was a mischievous chimpanzee learning how to behave like a human child, but now, he's a super intelligent and super athletic chad. Bonzo starts the film by accurately guessing what instrument Nero played, only to end up being a beast at handegg.
Ronald Reagan doesn't return for the sequel, but that's okay, you don't even need to see the first film to get this. Also, Bonzo Goes to College might be the first animal-plays-a-sport movie ever made, beating out Air Bud by five decades.
He’s the “BONZ” bitch! . Smart as professor, can throw a football a quarter mile. He birthed this shit !!
Bonzo Goes To College represents a groundbreaking moment in animal movie history. As questionably the first movie to lay the claim of “nothing in the rulebook says a ______ can’t play this sport”, Bonzo breaks boundaries- from being worthy of an accredited college professor position to being a working man’s postal carrier, he embodies the knowledge and dedication that is held within the American spirit.
Director Frederick De Cordova presents his expert craft in worldbuilding and character bonding, as Bonzo brings you through his world of trivial happenings and heartwarming connections with the Drew family. Compared to animal movies of the modern day, it is clear that Bonzo’s decision making clearly comes from his own autonomy and his power to…
his ass did NOT go to college. incredibly misleading title i'm very disappointed. when will bonzo's suicidal tendencies be properly acknowledged...
Ronald Reagan haunts the narrative in this film....Maybe Bonzo wouldnt be such a horrible, criminal, selfish chimp if Ronald was not such an absent father.
Bonzo Goes to College is the sequel to Bedtime for Bonzo about the ape that went from being smart to joining the Drew family. This film has none of the returning actors as Ronald Reagan called the premise "unbelievable" and even the original ape got replaced. So easy to say, the film has no connection to the previous film and is its own stand alone film.
Oddly enough, despite giving it the same score, I do find Bonzo Goes To College better than Bedtime for Bonzo as the story feels more focused and the acting is superior here. This is because of the loveable Edmund Gwenn who appears in this film as the grandpa/coach of the football team. I'll be…
"In all honesty, he is mentally equipped to be a professor, rather than a student! And now, if you'll permit me, I should like to resign!"
I am fucking CRYING.
This film literally cannot be real.
