      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Bombshell benefits from a terrific cast and a worthy subject, but its impact is muffled by a frustrating inability to go deeper than the sensationalistic surface.

Katie D interesting story, perfect acting, excellent costume/makeup, plus SO many familiar faces! I have to admit, I knew very little about this story before going to see the movie, but, in a way, I think that made it even more moving and interesting. Charlize Theron was so perfect that I had to keep reminding myself she wasn't actually Megyn Kelly which also speaks to the costume design and makeup teams' excellent work! Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie were also great, plus so many more familiar faces throughout, which was fun to see but also makes the story feel a bit more real. I don't know how accurate all the details are, but it certainly felt realistic and entertaining at the same time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/10/20 Full Review Todd Charlize Theron was megan Kelly... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/10/20 Full Review Frank G Acting was very good, principals had their parts down pat. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/09/20 Full Review Lisa Great story with a nice balance of real life footage. The acting was stellar along with the casting choices. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/29/20 Full Review Mary I like the fact this film was ever made and brings a high profile sexual discrimination crime to a larger audience. A little more character building and more actual data facts of how prevalent sexual discrimination is in the workplace Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/20 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Alessa Dominguez BuzzFeed News By failing to contextualize their race and class, Bombshell overlooks how complicated the real women who ousted Roger Ailes are. Apr 7, 2022 Full Review Robert Daniels Mediaversity Reviews Bombshell doubles down on the myth that victims must be perfect to be considered victims. Rated: C Mar 30, 2021 Full Review Larushka Ivan-Zadeh Metro Newspaper (UK) This superbly acted Faustian tale may inhabit the world of white privilege but it is terrific at unpicking the workplace sexism millions of ordinary women face every day. Rated: 4/5 Jan 29, 2020 Full Review Erick Estrada Cinegarage The ensemble lifts this somewhat flat and tonally uneven movie. [Full review in Spanish] Jul 26, 2023 Full Review Dallas King Flick Feast Shines a spotlight on a horrible but important true story but the film never truly manages to reach the same level as the three terrific lead actresses. Rated: 3/5 Nov 11, 2022 Full Review Michael Cuby them. It’s true that the star-studded Bombshell could have gone further in its critique...at the center of its tale about redemption for survivors of sexual assault. But the film does succeed at painting Roger Ailes as the gross, abusive CEO he’s always been. Sep 28, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
