You all remember that time when Samuel L. Jackson fought a pit of snakes at 30,000 feet for 2006's Snakes on a Plane? Well, a group of terrorists is about to find out what happens when you hijack a plane that's ferrying a frightened vampire in disguise across the clouds in Netflix's Blood Red Sky.

Directed by Peter Thorwarth, who co-wrote the script with Stefan Holtz, Blood Red Sky stars Peri Baumeister, Kais Setti, Alexander Scheer, Dominic Purcell, and Graham McTavish.

Per Netflix, here is the official logline for Blood Red Sky:

A woman with a mysterious illness is forced into action when a group of terrorists attempts to hijack a transatlantic overnight flight. To protect her son, she will have to reveal a dark secret, and unleash the vampire within that she fought to hide.

There's nothing quite like pissing off a vampire who's been flying coach, right? First, the airline runs out of blood juice boxes and then terrorists threaten to ruin everyone's vacation plans with their half-cocked scheme. What is this world coming to when an honest-to-goodness vampire can't fly the friendly skies in peace?

Blood Red Sky is scheduled to take flight on Netflix on July 23, 2021.
