Descripción del producto
As a young girl living in the remote mountains of Colorado, Vivian (Bruckner) watched helplessly as her family was murdered by a pack of angry men for the secret they carried in their blood. Vivian survived the attack by running into the woods and changing into a wolf. Ten years later, Vivian is living a relatively safe and normal life in Bucharest, Romania. Vivian spends her days working in a chocolate shop and nights trawling the citys underground clubs, fending off the reckless antics of her cousin Rafe, and his gang of delinquents he refers to as "The Five."
Vivians life begins to unravel when she has a chance encounter with Aiden (Dancy), an artist researching Bucharest ancient art and relics for his next graphic novel. Aiden pursues Vivian until she relents and begins to see him, but she cant bring herself to tell him the truth - and lives in fear of showing him who she really is. Even though Vivian has sworn never to kill, she is as much an animal as she is human, and her love for Aiden threatens to cast him to the very wolves who saved her life and who are waiting for their chance to hunt him as prey.

La calidad del DVD es buena
It's great! I happened across it on youtube, and liked it so much I went and got the book and the dvd. The plot is interesting and the special effects are really pretty. The acting was quite good- I think people just misunderstand Agnes Bruckner's character. She's odd because she's a loup-garou (werewolf) and has only been allowed other werewolves for company. She's a good person but all the others are a bit murderous and indoctrinated by the pack mentality. She meets Aiden and he's obviously her soul-mate, but she's terrified of the consequences of her family finding out she is serious with this 'meat-boy', especially since she's promised to the (sexy but a bit preachy) pack leader.
The way they show the relationship between Vivian and Aiden is really nice, not disgustingly cheesy and out of place like some other reviewers suggest. It's tentative and sweet. Their love is much truer than in the book. They try to protect each other even as they're drawn more deeply into trouble, and really have you rooting for them.
There's also action, fighting and fantasy. I like the feel of the movie and the locations (it's set in Romania so everything's quite historic and beautiful).
PS- About the wolves being too 'fluffy and adorable'. They aren't the teddy bear CGI wolves that are in Twilight. They're just normal looking wolves. Beautiful but deadly. Better than the grotesque half-man-half-beast things in some other films. The loup-garou are shapeshifters, not monsters, so it makes sense for them to look like this. The transformations are gorgeous (not split second). They leap into the air and glow in colours like white/silver/gold, before the light streaks down and wolves land. There's a close up of Vivian's in slow motion. It's graceful and just awesome.
Don't look for the 8ft werewolf that you find im almost all other werewolf movies. Lookfk for a great transition from human to wolf though as the body motions of the actors jell perfectly into the shinning light before they are transformed into regular wolves. The regular wolf look will also make one concentrate more on the stories that the wolves just happen to be a part of. Agnes Bruckner was good as a brooding, bordering on depressed "waiting for the fire in her life" werewolfet. Any more depressed though and she would have taken from the "rescue me from my life please" beauty waiting for her heroic beau. Their "stay at arms length, I wish I had, I love you regardless" romance was done to perfection.
Martinez's son(I do not know the name of the actor)was the perfect little menace, best described as "a little snot". His rebellious, no matter what, face was perfect and will get him many similar jobs in the future. It doesn't hurt that he is extremely talented as the "leader of the "Jr. wolf pack". I do not know what Hollywood calls it, but the non-vivid colors of the entire movie and the perfect visuals of Romania added to the dread of a "werewolf" tale. This movie goes to show what I have always beleived; If you have a good horror-romance /slasher flick, you do not need all the blood, entrails and popping eyeballs. This story is not new, but the enjoyment is. I would recommend it, not just to werewolf fans, not just to horror fans, not just to slasher fans, but to all other movie fans. There was never a dull moment.
By the way, there are few movies that I would give a rating of "5": JAWS, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, JESUS OF NAZARETH, TITANIC, NAPOLEAN, BAND OF BROTHERS, CRIMSON TIDE, JAWS 2, FRIDAY THE 13th, HALLOWEEN, ALIENS 2, OLIVER, SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, ARMAGGEDON, A.D. , THE MOMENT AFTER 2, A THIEF IN THE NIGHT
