Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/28/23 Full Review Cecily B A classic! Grew up watching this. It's hilarious and heartfelt. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member You guys just don't get it. You prolly weren't alive when in living color aired on fox in the early 90's. That what this movie is. It's in loving color comedy. Just like ace Ventura was as well cause for the generations that don't know that's where the wayans and Carrey got big that's why the show was only on a few years. It was so ridiculously funny they all kept getting movie offers so the left for the movies. This is 90's good for stupid laughs it's stupid to be dumb like ace Ventura & dumb and dumber. If you take this movie serious your sense of humor has to suck and you weren't alive or old enough to remember this hit. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Stephen Holden New York Times Blankman plays it light and silly but not so broadly that the movie collapses into chaos. Rated: 3.5/5 May 20, 2003 Full Review Brant Bingamon Austin Chronicle Blankman's use of the cheesy effects from the Batman TV show, including Polito trying to imitate The Penguin, was initially a good idea but the execution is simply horrible and this is what winds up ruining the film. Rated: 0/5 Mar 11, 2003 Full Review Rita Kempley Washington Post Wayans's attempt to take a bite out of crime doesn't really work. In fact, he's shooting a blank. Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Jamie Broadnax Black Girl Nerds 'Blankman' at least tried to create a space for the Black superhero, even if, cinematically, this film is a failure. There are probably young Black boys (and perhaps girls) that watched in the 90s and finally saw themselves reflected as a superhero. Rated: 2/5 Apr 15, 2022 Full Review Mal Vincent The Virginian-Pilot To put it frankly, Blankman should be a good deal funnier. Rated: 1.5/4 Mar 14, 2022 Full Review Barbara Shulgasser Common Sense Media Nerdy inventor fights crime; cartoonish violence, cursing. Rated: 3/5 Jul 14, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
