We have dined at the Ivy once before. We liked the ambience and decor, the food and service are amazing. Made to feel welcome and our custom appreciated. Would eat there again.

Absolutely fantastic service from everyone who served us. We were celebrating a special occasion and The Ivy team did a fantastic job celebrating with us and I could not fault the entire experience. I highly recommend letting them know if you are celebrating something because they'll make sure to treat you.

It was simply a beautiful experience. Our last server made such a fuss of us and was so amiable. Our first server was beautifully considerate and discreet. The food on this visit exceeded expectations in terms of flavour, presentation and portion size. The ambiemce was pleasant and totally relaxing, and we did not feel pressured to hurry our meals and leave by the staff. For these reasons we will return to the Ivy Cafe Blackheath.

Sorry to say that this was not my best experience of Ivy Cafe. Service was mixed - left standing for a while at the front door, and I noticed the same happening to other people as they arrived. On the plus side, the staff once they did serve us were attentive and polite. But, as we left I noticed several tables still had used cups, plates etc, despite there being plenty of staff who could have cleared them. It just didn't feel as though standards were particularly high. On the food - it was pretty average, unfortunately. In particular, on both our dishes the avocados were not fully ripe, which was not great, but not the end of the world, obviously. However, the hollandaise was disgusting. Far too buttery, not balanced properly, it totally spoiled the dish (Avocado Benedict). We have, as a family, had better experiences at other Ivys, particularly the one in York, for instance, but won't be rushing back to this one.

Ivy cafe very flexible as we were delayed and needed booking time moved at fairly short notice. All not a problem , just called them and they tweaked. Quick and efficient, prompt and friendly servers. Would recommend.

Really wasn’t sure what to expect from mixed reviews, however was pleasantly impressed with the warm reception and birthday greeting extended to my daughter. The restaurant is beautifully appointed with attractive bar area together with the most delicious spa type aroma filling the lower ground rest room area - how do they do that? Deliciously fresh food (duck salad and fish n chips) accompanied by a crisp prosecco with attentive waiters bringing a surprise birthday profiterole dish for my daughter all made the evening a success. Next time I’ll be back to sample the brunch 😉

Really enjoyed food and the service. The only aspect of the experience that we were not happy with was it was far too noisy. Tables so close together that you could overhear everybody’s conversations.

Wonderful meal on a Saturday afternoon/evening, we have a young baby and the waiters couldn’t have done enough for us. Food was gorgeous and service was outstanding, we will definitely be back!!

We were celebrating our birthdays and we were asked about them when we arrived The ambience and food was great as always however the service was not what it usually is. Our initial waiter was great and then he must of gone off shift. No one then came to check on us. We had to call someone over to ask for more drinks and the bill. And other tables around us were served with a birthday celebration desert but we were not. Not what we expected from the Ivy chain

The waitress that served us was amazing so professional , very attentive, recommended some lovely food and looked after us with a lovely smile. She is a credit to The Ivy. Lovely evening and her service made it part of a lovely evening Well done and thank you 😘

We were made to feel welcome and special from when we walked on the door. Waitress was attentive and efficient. Food was prompt and delicious. I was offered a taste of the wine before I purchase a glass! A lovely place

We went to Ivy Blackheath to celebrate my birthday, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. I also got a Happy Birthday Profiterole with a candle on it. What a lovely surprise!

Love the Ivy come a lot The host is always Gorgeous big smile The Gm always welcomes you good exceptional, but on our visit it was packed and we were made to feel rushed staff under pressure to get us moving , we were given the desert menu and when we had not decided as friends that had not seen each other for ages , chatting , we were told we need your table! I did mention to the GM who is a delightful full man

My intended guinea fowl main wasn't available due to supplier issues, despite being very new to the menu. The replacement - veal cheeks - was a bit too fatty and not flavourful enough really. Other food was fine though, and free champagne with a voucher was tasty. Service was friendly but sometimes a little slow, though it was peak lunchtime. Would happily go back again, though.

I always choose from their vegan menu which has recently been changed. Sadly the butternut squash curry has been replaced with a poke bowl which is nowhere near as nice and no extra vegan options added, which is a bit disappointing.
