There will be a slight break in the rain and thunderstorms tomorrow morning. But there will be a stronger band moving up through Iowa and Nebraska by the afternoon and early evening. There is a risk of severe weather tomorrow afternoon and evening. This will mainly be south central and southeastern KELOLAND. Large hail and strong winds will be the main threats. There is a risk of an isolated tornado, that could be strong, but that will be more likely in northwest Iowa and eastern Nebraska.

The stronger winds will continue through the weekend. Saturday will have light rain showers through the day. High temperatures will turn much cooler, and below normal, with highs in the 50s to low 60s.

The wind and rain will linger into Sunday and Monday morning. We will gain sunshine by the middle of the week. That will help warm temperatures back up well above normal.
