About Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
In Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.
As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.

There’s a bit of language in this one when it comes to quantity, but not too bad in the quality of swears.

There are no concerning scenes when it comes to sex and romance in Wakanda Forever. It’s super PG when it comes to romance on screen.
There is a sexual joke made, but likely will be missed by most young kids.
There is no sexual nudity in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but there is a naked baby after a birth scene.
That scene may be something to prepare the kids for if you haven’t had the talk about where babies come from as it’s slightly graphic (not terribly, but an uninformed child may have a lot of questions).
Violence and Gore: Is Wakanda Forever Too Scary For Kids Under 8?
Wakanda Forever is a pretty violent movie, relying on intense action sequences to move the plot along.
If your kids have seen other Marvel movies, they are likely ok with the violence in Black Panther 2.
Is Wakanda Forever scary?
There are a few mild jump scares that could bother sensitive kids and the violence is similar to the first Black Panther movie.
Stabbings, killings, drownings, shootings, wars between nations/governments, fires, police chases, hand-to-hand combat, spears, and guns all play out on screen.
There’s not too much gore, but there is a little blood shown throughout the fight scenes. There are also people who are apparently hypnotized and throw themselves into the sea under a spell.
This could be disturbing for young kids.
It’s intense at times from an action scale, but, hey, it’s Marvel! So you probably expected that.
Is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Ok For Kids: Mature Topics
This is where your kids may or may not be ready for Wakanda Forever, even if they are really big Marvel fans.
Black Panther 2 has a ton of action, but also a lot of dialogue that centers around mature topics like grief and loss, vengeance and revenge.
Is Wakanda Forever kid-friendly? On this scale, your mileage may vary greatly depending on personal experiences.
Death is a central plot point and is discussed at length; if your child (or you!) were emotionally affected by the loss of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, you’re going to feel some emotions in this movie.
A lot of emotions. Bring tissues.

We think kids who have seen the previous Marvel movies (and handled them without any major concern) are going to be ok with Wakanda Forever.
However, if they are experiencing grief and loss or are sensitive to violent extreme actions, please note the issues above and take that to heart before bringing younger kids to the theater.
Wakanda Forever is appropriate for most kids 8 and up, with some as young as 6 being able to handle the movie.
Before buying tickets consider this: Black Panther Wakanda Forever is 2 hours and 40 minutes long- which does not make this a kid-friendly movie for kid-size bladders and wiggles.
Knowing when you can go, run and pee during Wakanda Forever may help.
If your kiddo has a hard time sitting still for that long, consider pre-screening it or waiting for it to arrive on Disney+ where the pause button is your friend.
