1 juvenile shot multiple times by deputies in SC; 2 others bit by K-9s, investigators say
One juvenile was shot multiple times by deputies in Richland County, South Carolina, and two others were bitten by K-9s, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said at about 5 p.m. Sunday deputies spotted a stolen vehicle on Penn Ridge Court and tried to pull over the vehicle.
Authorities said the driver refused to stop and there was a short chase.
According to authorities, three juveniles in the vehicle ran and the vehicle hit a stop sign near Oak Manor in the Carriage Oaks subdivision.
The driver and one passenger were taken into custody by K-9s, deputies said.
They said the third suspect jumped over a fence and when told to stop, pulled out a handgun and was shot multiple times.
All three were taken to the hospital with injures: two for dog bites and one for gunshot wounds.
Authorities said a pistol was found at the scene and all three face numerous charges.
