Thomas P slightly better "King of Staten Island" Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review m ITS SO HEARTWARMING AND SO GENUINE, LITERALLY SO GOOD Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/04/24 Full Review Boryana G Pete Davidson cool as always ❣️ Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/28/23 Full Review S F I watched the trailer and interviews months prior to being able to watch it. I signed for Hulu just to watch it . Pete is very charming but plays tye cool loser so well. I really enjoyed the plot something different fir a change. The teen boy who becomes friends with an older guy who gets him mixed up selling drugs at parties. No hun fights, no big drug dealers involved just as lighthearted as something like this can be. A bromance that is fun but ultimately unhealthy. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/25/23 Full Review gareth d Solid typical Pete Davidson shtick, basically him playing himself again in a coming of age drama. Entertaining enough. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member i have trouble liking coming-of-age movies because more often times than not i just can't relate to them. i feel like Pete Davidson pretty much just plays himself & i'm not really a fan to begin with so that also didn't help. i wouldn't recommend this one. Jason Bailey Crooked Marquee Orley is a funny but tricky writer, and in scene after scene, his ear for dialogue is just right - it's natural but heightened, funny without sounding too "written." Mar 21, 2020 Full Review Adam Graham Detroit News Its characters aside, "Big Time Adolescence" has a lot of growing up to do. Rated: D+ Mar 20, 2020 Full Review David Fear Rolling Stone It's a coming-of-age movie that relies on the cracked charm of its in-house boorish role model...and the usual storytelling beats. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 20, 2020 Full Review Akos Peterbencze Vulnerable Man (Medium) Big Time Adolescence is one of the best dramedies of the year. Don’t miss it. Jul 20, 2023 Full Review M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut Hulu’s Big Time Adolescence doesn’t have enough depth, quick wit, or earnestness to stand out in a jam-packed genre– even if they all practiced social distancing. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 27, 2022 Full Review Josh Parham Next Best Picture The tone of the comedy, trading on toxic masculinity and adolescent awkwardness, isn’t that charming nor does it reach a thematic conclusion that makes it feel earned.
