EMI Habit AVP cited as one of best practices vs Covid-19


The Metro Manila Center for Health Development (MMCHD) cited the EMI Habit audio-visual presentation (AVP) of the Pasay City government as one of the 11 local government units in the National Capital Region (NCR) with the best practices against Covid-19.

The city government promoted minimum public health standard through an audio-visual presentation (AVP) on its official Facebook page to remind residents in practicing the EMI Habit (Ensure to always wash your hands, Mask is a must, Implement physical distancing at least two meters apart) to prevent the transmission and spread of Covid-19.

Aside from the Pasay City government, the MMCHD also cited the following local government units in the NCR for their best practices during the Covid-19 pandemic:

  • The Caloocan City government held an orientation for 100 residents as a Livelihood Assistance for Disadvantaged/Displaced workers or TUPAD. The program aims to provide opportunities to those who have lost their jobs due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • The Valenzuela City government distributed gift certificates to senior citizens upon vaccination against the disease as a way of the city government to encourage more senior citizens to get vaccinated and have protection.
  • The Quezon City government implemented the Senior Citizens Caravan under the maintenance medicine program stationed in each barangay to provide various services to the elderly such as free medical check-ups, blood pressure, sugar monitoring, free vitamins, Covid-19 vaccination, and senior ID application and release.
  • The Taguig city government allows vaccination hubs and microsites in the city for the primary series, first and second booster shots for residents and for those who are working and studying in the city.
  • The San Juan city government is one of the first cities to roll out a second booster shot for the general population aged 50 and above and 19 to 19 years old including those with comorbidities.
  • The Manila City Field Hospital conducts a clean-up drive every Friday to maintain its cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivares announced during the launching of PinasLakas the full support of the city to the vaccination program by adding more vaccination sites to include health centers in all the city's 16 barangays as well as in public schools in preparation for the face to face classes in November.
  • The Makati city government implemented the vaccination of the members of the tricycle operators and drivers association (TODA) and jeepney operators and drivers association (JODA) and their family with the aim of making vaccination more accessible.
  • The Pasig city government successfully launched the PinasLakas vaccination campaign with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Department of Health Office-in-Charge Dr. Rosario Singh-Vergeire.
