Architectural Buildings
Majestic cathedral with a tranquil interior and a climb to the dome for panoramic city views from Museum Island. Appreciated for its Italian Renaissance and Gothic architecture.

- BAMlab3 contributionsThe most iconic gate in Germany, obviously full of policemen. Plenty of restaurants in the area and even a tourist point if you need it. - ThomasBuenos Aires, Argentina1 contributionIf you like history and you’re interested in subjects of war, this is a must-see experience. Here, you have how the dictatorship rose to power (1920-1933) and what happened during those times (the duration of the 2 WW, 1933-1945).Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We found the mix of preserved wall segments, open-air exhibits, and the Documentation Center to be very engaging. The stories of escape attempts and the impact on families were particularly moving. Even our young children were able to grasp the basic concepts due to the visual nature of the site. While some content is sobering, it's an important place to visit – a reminder of the cost of division and the triumph of the human spirit.Written April 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The art was interesting and made for a nice walk by the river. It can be difficult to take photos of it as it can be crowded. I love the different ideas presented and many are very colorful which is great when it's a bit gloomy.Written April 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cora Visits PlacesGlasgow, UK200 contributionsFalling in Love is the show at this venue that is playing until July 2024 - and it is absolutely crazy in a so-bad-it’s-good kind of way! The story is nonsense, the songs are silly, the outfits are gorgeous. There is some really unexpected talents to be seen, like trampolining and a unique balancing act. If you enjoy the camp nonsense that is often in Eurovision I think you will really enjoy it, if that kind of thing isn’t for you avoid it at all costs.
As for the venue itself it is very grand, and I appreciate that it is relatively affordable. I booked a cheap seat on a weekday and paid €30 and can’t complain at all, I could see the whole stage and wasn’t at all uncomfortable. I’m sure the stall seats are great tho so just pay what you can afford. The seats are comfortable to me as a plus size person and I wouldn’t have any hesitation about coming back in the future.
Also I have to commend the staff - I had a problem with my ticket and they gave some helpful advice (in English) over the phone.Written March 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The pergamon museum is closed for several years which is disappointing. We did go to the Neues Museum- I enjoyed the Egyptian displays (including the Nefertiti bust!) but the rest of the museum was an extensive display of moderately interesting artifacts. I think I'd expected more art/statues vs bones and small artifacts. I very much enjoyed walk about the buidlings and watching the river- the Cathedral added beauty to the landscape but we chose not to pay to enter.Written April 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
