After intense planning and preparation, Benenden hosted an immensely successful 2024 Futures Convention in the Centenary Hall.
Benenden welcomed 85 delegates from top UK and international universities, gap year organisations, blue chip companies and career representatives to talk to current students, staff and pupils from visiting schools about life in higher education, application processes, apprenticeship schemes and career pathways – not to mention the opportunity to travel to far-flung places and participate in volunteer projects during gap years.
Students benefited from the carousel of 12 talks covering a wide range of enlightening and instructive topics, including the University of Warwick on how to write a personal statement, careers in the NHS and pathways to medicine, global applications, studying the creative arts and How to Make an Impression in 30 Seconds.
The Hall was a throng of activity, and Benenden was particularly pleased to welcome more than 300 pupils and parents from five other local schools.
