‘White Lotus’ star Beatrice Grannò on her Italian must-haves

Beatrice Grannò is a triple threat in her native Rome: a popular TV actress, movie star and singer. Now the 29-year-old is about to break into the US market in a big way, after landing a primo gig on the second season of HBO hit “The White Lotus,” which filmed across Italy. The latest edition follows the escapades of (mostly) wealthy Americans — including familiar faces Jennifer Coolidge, Michael Imperioli and Aubrey Plaza — on vacation in Sicily. Grannò plays local Mia, who’s not staying at the resort but always seems to wind up there. The actress reveled in the chance to share Italian culture, architecture and food with her Hollywood co-stars, telling Alexa that the crew often ended up at BamBar, known in Taormina for its incredible granita (a frozen-fruit specialty). Here are a few of Grannò’s other tips for embracing la dolce vita without a passport.
