It's the fact that Bush Sr's hair didn't go gray while Barbara's did
And it did very young, apparently after their daughter passed away.
She lost the pigment in her hair as a result of the stress of their three year old daughter’s death from cancer. She said she tried for years to color it but the color just looked bad and wouldn’t stay so she let it be white. Very sad. I think she and her husband were incredible people and I’m a liberal.
She also had thyroid disease
I didn’t even think that Robin’s death may have been a reason for that. Really tragic.
I’ve been thinking this for years. She looks like she could be his mom. And yes, I know it’s just the hair.
I think she just looks older in general, not just the hair (even though it’s largely because of the hair) Even when George bush was in his late 60s she looked 10 years older.
