  Interesting for a bit of behind the scenes footage of Werner directing, but as far as the narration goes, I feel like you're better off just listening to the dvd commentary for the movie.

  For anyone else here for Brad Dourif, he is only in this the teensiest tiniest amount.

  It gives me more respect for the film, learning Werner Herzog's style, method, craft, and vision.

  It also reminds me of many reasons why I wouldn't want to be an actor. Like the fact that most of the job is waiting around. Usually uncomfortably.

  A documentary by the co-writer of Werner Herzog's My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done about its making, Ballad indirectly reveals a thing or two about his process -- like the fact that he'll choose a location in the flight path of a major airport and not alter his decision -- but it's nowhere near as dramatic as Burden of Dreams (nor should one expect it to be).

  Watching some scenes from 'My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done', being filmed was cool. Otherwise, it was pretty bland viewing.
