      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Back to the Future II is far more uneven than its predecessor, but its madcap highs outweigh the occasionally cluttered machinations of an overstuffed plot.

Ryland C Weakest of the trilogy but still amazing!!! (If only if the future did have flying cars, hoverboards and cool outfits though) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Teddy B While not being as unnecessary as 'Ghostbusters II', 'Back to the Future Part II' is fun and often times genuinely impressive in terms of spectacle and creativity but it doesn't do much of anything to justify its existence as a worthy sequel to its legendary predecessor that is well-renowned for its incredibly tight and consistent script. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Albert W Great movie!!! Worthy follow-up to the first one, even if the first one was a little bit better. Vale apena assistir? Sim e toda a triologia. Nota: 8,5 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Aidan M My second favorite film of the trio of movies, it's not as good as the original but I have watched this many many times and I laugh always when I watch it. Mike McGrady Newsday While the funny-bone is being gently tickled, the eye is constantly diverted. Unfortunately, and I find this true of every Zemeckis movie, neither the mind nor the heart is ever fully engaged.
