As a group of 5 friends on long weekend in Krakow can highly recommend the visit to Auschwitz and Salt mines. We were picked up 5 mins walk from our apartment and driven to both tours. Almost a door to door service. Perfect. Wiktoria has been excellent in booking both trips and cant recommend enough. You will not be disappointed.

A very upsetting day. filled with some horrific facts.
It involved alot of walking, so wear comfortable footwear, also wrap up as it's very cold walking around.
Our tour guide was brilliant (konrad)his english was perfect informed me of so much and explained everything, answered questions I had and showed us around well.
Konrad (tour guide) gave me and others within the tour time when I/we needed it he was very passionate about the information he was sharing with us.
We then went on to Birkinaeu which involved more walking and more upsetting views.
However it's something I recommend seeing as it's part of history.
Take tissues.
It involved alot of walking, so wear comfortable footwear, also wrap up as it's very cold walking around.

Not sure which tour operator we used (my daughter booked it) but we were picked upon time and set of to the salt mines which were about half an hour away from our hotel.
We had a set time so after a short break we went on our tour. Our tour guide was a lovely young girl who was very enthusiastic. From beginning to end it was great. You need a good pair of shoes as lots of walking and quite a few steep steps.
The mines themselves were amazing and the structure went on for miles (obviously we didn’t see them all as over 1000.) there are chapels built entirely from salt made by the miners themselves. Truly amazing. It wasn’t cold either no matter how far we went down which was a long way but there are lifts back to the surface. Miners lifts. Not good if your claustrophobic. A very worthwhile tour.
The photos show what looks like the inside of a church. 90% of it is carved from the sal done by the miners. The carvings are all hand carved in the walls and are salt. TrueType amazing.

Wonderfully organised tour from beginning to end. Communication with the company was very fast, they answered every question I asked. The trip itself was very informative and educational. It is worth seeing this place at least once in your life. This company will organise a guided tour for you, buy tickets and organise transport by luxury car. The Auschwitz tour was great!
However, the organization was really sloppy: last minute pickup time change from 9:40 to 12:25. With this change we were in danger of missing our already booked bus. The organization did not offer a viable alternative, apart from “trying” to get us back in time and promised to leave at the bus station, which did not happen, despite our efforts of re-enforcing the agreement…to a non-English speaker who couldn’t care less…

Everything was professional. Everything was explained in great detail. The explanations were repeated. Questions were answered. Everything was timely and organized. Everyone’s English was fantastic. The driving of the bus was safe. The bus was modern and safe with 3-point seat belts and smelled good. Plenty of breaks were provided for toilets and food. I am a very critical person and I really have nothing to critique.

Adam picked us at the airport drove us to the member of family who lives in Krakow.Next day Adam had for us excellent trip plan ,He really knows very much about the places we would like to see it We used his privet tour to Wieliczka, Auschwitz ,Zakopane, Warszawa.
We are very happy we met Adam he is very educated ,about all places we would like to see it .He speaks English vert good ,he is our top driver in Krakow.Adams and his company is very profesional definitely deserves best recommendation!!!

Re: Auschwitz-Krakow. Com. On two occasions we have had the pleasure of using the above company for collections from the airport and visit to both Auschwitz and the Salt Mines with Adam Czopek. We found Adam to be totally reliable, dependable and his service timely. Always pleasant to deal with and prepare to help and offer advice. I would highly recommend Adam and his company and look forward to seeing him again on our next visit to Kraków.

Ive wanted to visit Auschwitz for a while after i reeducated myself on WW2. Would it be insensitive for me as a British tourist to take some flowers place them somewhere and salute to all those who lost their lives at this place?
Im quite young (27) and dont want to piss anyone off by being insensitive but also want to honour the memory of the countless millions who perished at Auschwitz

There were fresh flowers dotted around the grounds when I visited, so personally don't think it is a problem and actually quite a nice gesture.

Hi there
My boyfriend and I have krakow booked for next week 18-22 March. We are supposed to be travelling from Dublin.
We are not sure whether to continue with the trip, or cancel it due to corona virus. Are most tourist places still open? I’m aware museums are starting to close etc. Just wondering if it will be worth it for us to go as we wanted to visit Auschwitz etc.
We were planning to fly out of Warsaw and get the train from krakow to Warsaw.
If anyone could provide us with some information that would be great

Well as we all know corona virus is all over the world and i do not think you are safe at an airport as you will be mixing with people from all over the world to answer also train stations are not a safe place to be at the moment so i am sorry to say if you can wait until this is over then please do so I am sorry to have to say this but i think it is best for you at the moment

Planning on going to to Auschwitz on the 13th December. Are the self guided tours worth doing or are guided tours better? I feel like you could see more if you went around by yourself. Also closing time for Auschwitz is at 2:00pm, is that the same for Birkenau?

We bought our tickets off trip advisor and it was discounted. They pick you up from your hotel and drop you back. Or book them in the square but you have to then meet them in the square. Think its compulsory with a tour guide.
