What travelers are saying
- YargLivesAugusta, GA165 contributionsUsually a nice walk. Has some pretty views of the water and surrounding area. Only word of caution is the area is kinda rough especially at night. I wouldn’t go down there after sundown. Homeless, gangs, etc. frequent the area so try and enjoy during the day and in groups.Written July 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SteveConyers, GA6 contributionsThis is a museum of the unusual. The closest thing I can think of is Ripley’s and P.T. Barnum. We arrived in the morning around 10am. You have to have reservations and we had sent a message the night before. When we got there we paid and then ushered into a dimly lighted sitting area. The owner told us about the museum and what was in it. Expect the unexpected. Most of the items were before 1920 and much older. The owner took us and explained the museum for us for over 2 hours. At the end Red took back the stage and gave us the history of side shows. He expertise was hammering a large nail into his nose and swallowing a sword. I am not kidding! So after 2.5 hours of having a personal tour we left. This place is a definite must see. If you carry kids, they need to be mature.Written March 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Joann F27 contributionsThis museum was an unexpected gem! Very reasonable entrance fee, and what exhibits! My husband has ADD and usually has a tough time with museums, but this was so interesting. We spent a couple hours on the first floor!
We definitely have to come back because they have a great section on James Brown and other interesting things on the second floor that we really didn’t have time to do justice to them!Written April 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were able to bring some snacks and drinks aboard.Written October 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lilbjtbh268 contributionsWas lucky enough to get masters tickets for a practice round day tbh and it was a lot of fun. Got to see a lot of the course. The course was so nice and in great condition. The parking lot was a nice area and was a good workout to walk a lot but had a great memory there with my dad. I’d def go again.Written April 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- maxxilaunchBrasstown, NC69 contributionsNice museum, great gift shop! The parking lot area is a bit overwhelming with the signs warning of towing your vehicle, and the parking lot with painted spots marked "reserved". It sort of seems unwelcoming. The beautiful museum is on the second level. We were greeted at the desk and received a warm introduction and a map. The museum was not busy. We enjoyed the exhibits and floorplan of the halls. The museum gift shop offered unique items for all ages at all price points. The clerk was very nice and obviously loves her work.Written May 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
