My condolences to Arnes wife and family. Arne and I went to grammar school together in Madla, Stavanger Norway and I have only good memories of him. He was one of the first to join the Children Theatre in Stavanger around 1953 - 1955 and he also arranged theatre sessions in the garage at home in Madla. I also remember that Arne had a great talent for drawing which really demonstrated his artistic and creative talent. The last time I saw Arne was when he visited us in connection with the 50th anniversary of our grammar school completion in 2009.

Arne was one of the funniest people I have ever met - I will remember all these wonderful afternoons and evenings in Waiheke, Grey Lynn, Auckland, Bern, Munich or somewhere else wehen we laughed , had a few glasses of wine, great food and solved all the problems of the world by joking about them. You will be dearly missed
