It's Me, Chelsea," this sitcom features Chelsea (Laura Prepon), a strong-willed bartender in her twenties who takes life by the horns and doesn't apologize for it. Critics Consensus

Based on Chelsea Handler's bestselling autobiography, Are you there, Chelsea? tries hard, but never matches the book's caustic wit.

John Griffiths Us Weekly The characters, including Chelsea's prissy sister (played by Handler herself), start out too one-note to qualify as must-see. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 15, 2017 Full Review Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly Numerous remarks about being drunk and approximately 79 euphemisms for the word "vagina," all of which substituted for jokes. Rated: D+ Jan 11, 2012 Full Review Brandon Nowalk AV Club Prepon just doesn't have Handler's facility with arid disdain, and weirder still, Handler herself doesn't even seem to have her voice down on this show. Rated: D+ Jan 11, 2012 Full Review Robert Canning IGN Movies None of this was clever. And worse, none of it was especially funny. Rated: 6/10 Jan 11, 2012 Full Review Rachel Stein Television Without Pity Once the initial awkwardness of the first few minutes of the pilot subsided, I actually really enjoyed Chelsea. Jan 11, 2012 Full Review Matt Roush TV Guide If we're lucky, before long when we look for Chelsea on the schedule (though why would we?), it simply won't be there Jan 11, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews
