When Archibald Campbell 7th Earl of Argyll was born on 25 August 1576, in Inveraray, Argyll, Scotland, his father, Colin Campbell 6th Earl of Argyll, was 35 and his mother, Lady Agnes Keith, was 46. He married Agnes Douglas of Morton - Countess of Argyll on 24 July 1592. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 4 daughters. He died on 29 October 1638, in London, England, at the age of 62, and was buried in Kilmun, Argyll, Scotland.
