Neat little place but breaking down. Not safe for kids to play. Right next to residential properties and an area marked “No Trespassing”, so ensure you pay attention to where you’re heading.

My husband and I have lived in the high desert/Apple Valley for the last 18 years and we have never been to Sunset Hills. We have been invited to events held at this venue but have never attended. After.much discussion, we went and purchased our plots at this beautiful venue and we are quite pleased with the location of where we be laid to rest. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and actually, pointed out to us the best plot (because of the virew). I admit I was a little taken aback when first arriving, thinking wow is this it??? However, after doing a complete walk through, and seeing they are doing upgrades, and taking care if the property, we feel comfortable with them knowing they will be handling our arrangements. The chapel is ABSOLUTLEY gorgeous giving your friends and family a view that is amazing. If you plan on having a repast it can be held right there. They even have a horse on the property they use use for the Vets ceremonies,. (he sneezed on me YUCK!!!), but he's a beautiful horse. We are happy we made the decision to go there since Apple Valley is our home.

I loved this museum! My kids have been here twice for a field trip and we liked it so much we took our whole family there after. It's great for younger kids. They have a whole play room with giant blocks, puzzles, bowling and they have a mini store and bank for the kids also. I think its great to combine fun and education.

After spending several hours viewing, the remains of the Concrete Dinosaurs, journey back to Apple Valley to observe the 24-Foot-Tall Trigger Statue located on Apple Valley Road. This gigantic statue is unique and will bring back childhood memories of Saturday morning sitting in front of the television watching the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans show. Every Saturday, Dale, and Roy, riding their steeds, would have a new adventure that thrilled children who had access to a television set. Roy horse, (originally named Golden Cloud), and later renamed Trigger passed away in 1965. Due to the popularity of his horse, Roy had his horse preserved and mounted and placed on display at the Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum in Apple Valley, California in 1967. Over the years, this museum has changed locations several times. In 1976, museum relocated to Victorville, California and moved again in 2003 to Branson Missouri. To bring attention to the Victorville site, a fiberglass 24-foot-tall statue of a rearing Trigger was commissions to sit on top of the museum. This gigantic horse could be observed from the freeway and attracted thousands of visitors to the site. While the fiberglass replica of Trigger was being produced, the Denver Broncos requested and received permission to construct a second replica of Trigger. This reproduction, entitled “Bucky the Bronco” is located at Broncos Stadium in Denver Colorado. Bob Tinsley, a Victorville developer who was responsible for the construction of Roy Rogers' home in Apple Valley, bought the fiberglass replica from the bankrupt Branson Museum in April 2010, and returned it to Apple Valley in 2014 where is rightfully belongs. This amazing statue is in excellent shape, and displays Trigger with his white main, tail and hoofs and palomino colored body rising above the surrounding area. Remarkable. If you remember watching Saturday morning western TV shows, this statue will bring back nemories of those good old days. Well worth a short visit.

This is a small but very informative museum. The lady there knew lots of historical info on Apple Valley. It is very sad that the grounds were not kept up as rental cottages! Marilyn Monroe was there.....

Do you love going to the big theater? Then Cinemark at Jess Ranch is worth a visit. It is very clean, has courteous staff, and the seats are sufficiently spaced and oh so comfy. My husband and I frequent Cinemark at Jess Ranch. It's our go-to theater in the High Desert.

Outside there were cacti, some flowers and dome attractions.

The library is painted in beige.

After I admired the library, I found out that the library was closed to Martin Luther Junior Holiday.

I saw that their books were well taken care of.

    Worthwhile.

I play Ashwood alot. It is perfect during the week for a quick 18 holes. Weekends can be a little slow but still not terrible. Clubhouse food is good staff is friendly. If you don't need a par 72. This might be for you.
