Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are soulmates. Not in the romantic sense, but their friendship, creativity, and true emotional connection has bonded them since making the first Matrix movie back in the late 1990s. This is one of the reasons why the fourth installment of the franchise, this month's The Matrix Resurrections, is so exciting. Seeing the two of them back on-screen together exploring their love story against a world of false realities, tyrannical overlords, and kung-fu is nothing short of exhilarating. While Carrie-Anne is the leading female in all four Matrix movies, the sequels also brought in a new dynamic woman, Jada Pinkett-Smith.

Both Keanu and Carrie-Anne have reputations of being down-to-earth, quiet, and centered individuals who love to make movies but adore their privacy even more. Jada, on the other hand, may have the same traits but is also part of one of the most famous families in Hollywood. That means she is also wrapped up in all sorts of controversies including with her husband Will. So, does this difference get in the way of their relationship? Here's what we know about the dynamic between Keanu, Carrie-Anne and Jada...

Keanu Reeves And Jada Pinkett-Smith Have An Unspoken Connection

So much about relationships can be revealed in hindsight. Therefore, a lot we know about how both Keanu and Carrie-Anne related to Jada during the filming of The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions can be derived from what the three have shared when coming back together to make and promote The Matrix Resurrections. While on the press tour, Keanu and Carrie-Anne stopped by Jada's famous Red Table Talk internet show. During their conversation, so much was revealed about how they really feel about each other.

While Keanu spends a lot of time with his girlfriend and not with big celebrities like Jada Pinkett-Smith, the two of them have a deep bond that goes back to making the original trilogy.

"We've kept in contact over the years and had some pretty big moments where we've come together," Keanu said to Jada.

Keanu clearly has great affection for Jada and the pair get along extremely well. But Jada shared the most about her relationship with "Key" during the Red Table Talk...

"I think for us being two Virgos, there's kind of like this unspoken communication," Jada said about Keanu. "It's like, I can sit with Keanu in silence and get filled with so much. And he's one of the few people that I can do that with. And I can have the greatest time. His knowledge. His depth. His ability to listen deeply is just so beautiful and so unique--"

"Yep," Carrie-Anne affectionately interjected.

"And I consider him a beautiful friend," Jada stated before truing to Keanu and talking to him directly. "And you are one of the most generous dudes in Hollywood. I have to say. And your humility is beyond."

Jada Was A Source Of Inspiration For Carrie-Anne In Her Journey Into Motherhood

In the Red Table Talk interview, Carrie-Anne said that she believes that she is a completely different person now that she's had kids. This is far from the only interview where she's talked about how so much of her life shifted when she decided to become a mother. There's no doubt that most of Hollywood mistreated her and her career when she decided to take a hiatus and have her three kids. But this is not the situation with Jada Pinkett-Smith.

According to Carrie-Anne, Jada really helped her through her first pregnancy. First of all, Jada had both of her kids prior to making Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions. Carrie-Anne even got to spend a decent amount of time with her kids, Jaden and Willow Smith, while making the movies.

"I remember being so young with you on set and spending so much time with you and asking my mom where you were all the time," Jaden Smith said to Carrie-Anne during the Red Table Talk when he and Willow surprised them.

"Carrie-Anne, being out there with these two little cherubs, and you just loved them so much," Jada said of Jaden and Willow's relationship with Carrie-Anne.

"It makes me a little teary [to think about]," Carrie-Anne said. "I loved watching you [Jada] with your children because I had always had the dream of being a mother. In our business, you don't really see women doing it -- you don't get to see both. The fact that you allowed me to see you do it just opened my mind that it was really possible to be so there for your children in the way that you were while you're training and you're nursing."

Aside from being an inspiration for Carrie-Anne in the most important part of her life, Jada was also extremely protective of her when she did end up getting pregnant.

"When I become pregnant, you were so protective of me during the press [for The Matrix Revolutions]. And I really appreciate that. And I've called you about parenting and mothering."

After Carrie-Anne had her first kid, Jada gave her a book called "You Are My Wild" which she cherishes to this day. While the pair didn't spend a lot of time together between making the third and fourth movies, they did keep in touch and had each other's backs.
