We tried this cafe because it has the same name as my partner. We are glad we did it was excellent.
A well established landmark cafe in one of Budapests shopping areas this cafe has avoided living off its reputation and gives great service and serves good food.
When we are next in Budapest we will be returning.

We had the chicken and dumplings/beef stew and dumplings both were bland and Luke warm. While some staff seemed pleasant at least one ignored our request for the bill on two occasions. The cafe is clean and busy when passing. Seems good for sandwiches, cakes and coffee. Not for an evening meal.

If you're wandering the streets of Pest, in the fashion shopping district don't miss Anna Cafe. The Hot Chocolate is divine and Chocoretto with Amaretto even better.
Service was very good and friendly.

There are 2 in the centre of Budapest (one opposite the market and one nearer St Stephen’s) both had excellent service but preferred the location of the one near St Stephen’s). We didn’t eat here but all the food that came out looked amazing. One of our favourite places in the city

Worried it was a tourist trap as it was situated on the corner of the Vaci Street, we hesitantly tried it for tea, coffee, wine, and cake. Pleasantly surprised by the staff, surroundings and quality of goods. Worth a stop here, and a fantastic people watching location.

My partner and I checked cafes and this came up nearby.
It was busy and waited for staff.
We are smokers and my partner was also smoking his cigarette while we were waiting to be sorted outside.
They placed us on a vacant table which was a non smoking table as it was by the front doors- the staff was rude when we asked for the menu and when we asked for a astray that’s when they told us it was a no smoking table.
There was a couple on another table who were sweet and agreed to change tables.
Staff agreed who was going to take our order and also must have told another staff to change the billing for the tables swapped.
Food arrived I had ordered an omelette which was pleasant but no staff around to order more.
We waited for a long time for a staff as it started raining and we were seating in between the two canopies.
I had enough of waiting and went inside I was annoyed but staff just said that the staff serving my table was also serving others - well half of the staff were chatting away.
I paid and went outside - a staff member after a few minutes came to where I was sitting and asked me for my receipt for the bill.
No apology for the delay or staff attending to us but they asked me to pay the difference as they charged me for the couple who were beside us rather than the bill for what I had eaten.
I paid as I had ordered and eaten the meal but I found that very unprofessional and again no apology for the mistake they had made.
The reason for racism - there was a male staff service on the other end and when I called out for them he ignored me but surprisingly attended to another couple who were two tables away from us of white race.
Staff are all white and noticed/felt the looks on us.
There were people who were just having a coffee while I was intending to spend more as I had the intention before to have a dessert and more drinks.
It’s in the centre of the shops that’s the reason of it being busy but quite a shame as the country needs the tourism but if the hospitality is like this then it’s not worth visiting the restaurant/cafes.

Fantastic. Great food and and drinks , good service, spotless clean . Coffee amazing. A little pricey due to location but drinks were still very reasonable. Cake selection is fabulous! We went twice !

We recently had an unpleasant experience at the anna caffee with a younger blond waitress. She not only treated our table rudely but also showed no patience for kids and the elderly at nearby tables. Despite the disappointing service, it's worth noting that the coffee & atmosphere were a silver lining in an otherwise negative experience.
* I have to add that the other staff were fairly friendly.

Perfect for a casual lunch with authentic Hungarian food - we got the noodle soup and the chicken paprikash and they were really nice, but not AMAZING. Perfect for what it is, but don't expect anything more than a chain café.

Dropped in for a coffee and toasted sandwich - service was very good - coffee was nice - sandwich was luke warm, mediocre ingredients - overpriced for what it was - this one will not be making our guide book unlike Tosti Budapest and Marie Kristensen

On our visit to Budapest we found this lovely Cafe. Adam and his team were so helpful. Our eggs and ham dish on both mornings we went there were delicious. Great coffee and a little pot of tea which I personally really appreciated.
