Angela Bassett's hair stylist went to great lengths to protect her flawless look from the rain on Thursday in New York.
The Golden Globe winner looked radiant in a black leather coat and matching trousers after a radio interview with The Breakfast Club, while promoting the return of her hit series 9-1-1, out March 16 on Fox.
As the 61-year-old stunner took the streets by storm, she waved at fans and beamed after a string of appearances throughout the Big Apple this week.

All eyes were on her loosely styled waves, which her team protectively covered by holding a green jacket over her head.
The brunette bombshell, who appears to be winding back the clock with her flawless complexion, is known for looking decades younger than she actually is.
The mother-of-two, who shares 14-year-old twins with husband Courtney B Vance, has played LAPD patrol sergeant Athena Grant since the drama's TV series debut in January 2017.

The show revolves around the lives of first responders in Los Angeles and her co-stars Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds and Kenneth Choi.
In November fans learned more about her beloved character's backstory in an episode titled Athena Begins and saw her relationship blossom with fire captain Bobby Nash.
'I was looking forward to it because we've done it for just about all the other characters, so I was wondering when it would be Athena's turn,' she told Entertainment Weekly.

In January, TV Line confirmed Connie Britton would reprise her role as former 9-1-1 operator Abby.
'I do believe she has unfinished business,' executive producer Tim Minear told the outlet. 'Abby promised she would come back and she never did. So there's unfinished business for Abby, and definitely also for Buck.'
He added: 'He's still trying to figure out who he is, and his relationship with Abby started to redefine him. Once she left, he had to figure out who he was without her.'
