Alix of France (July–August 1150 – 1197/1198) Was countess of Blois by her marriage to Theobald V, Count of Blois, she was a french princess as the daughter of Louis VII of France, she was a french-english crusader who expelled her husband's jewish mistress Pulcelina.
Alix's mother Eleanor of Aquitaine, divorced her father to marry the most powerful king at the time who was Henry II of England, Alix was not declared illegitimate even though her parents annulled there marriage. She left court to marry a french nobleman named Theobald, Count of Blois, and they had two children.
Alix of France died probably in Blois, France and had an infamous legacy for expelling many jewish people.
Early life[]
Alix was probably born around august or July in 1150, to Eleanor of Aquitaine and Louis VIII, her mother was the wealthiest woman in Europe, she owned the duchy of Aquitaine, her father was an french crusader who expelled many jewish and Islamic people. She had an older sister named Marie who was born 5 years before her.
Her parents did not get along, her father Louis wanted a son, and Eleanor only gave him 2 daughters, woman according to the salic law cannot succeed a throne, woman could only be consorts. Her parents annulled there marriage in 1152, her mother wen't on to marry the most powerful man in Europe, and her father married a Spanish Princess named Constance of Castile, Alix was put in the care of her father.
Marriage[]
Alix's dad married Alix to a French nobleman who was Theobald, Count of Blois, but her husband had an affair with a Jewish aristocrat named Pulcelina, Pulcenila was way prettier then Alix so no one was surprised, but Alix had an advantage of Pulcelina. Pulcelina was Jewish and during Alix's time Jewish people were slaughtered and killed by Christians, Pulcenila was also disliked. So Alix could easily blame Pulcelina for anything. A French nobleman had been murdered, probably under Alix's orders, Pulcelina was blamed for the murder.
Pulcelina as a Jew had no fair trial and she was burned alive by the royal executioner. Pulcelina's two daughters were burned alive with he.

Through-out her marriage to the Count, she had 2 children:
- Margaret, Countess of Blois
- Louis I, Count of Blois
Both of her children succeeded the County of Blois, her son Louis succeeded first, but he had no children so Margaret, Countess of Blois became Countess alongside her husband.
Death[]
Alix died in 1197/98.
