Liam D A Found Footage Thriller that actually does used it's format into the story very well but it still feels into the generic pitfalls of cliches of the gimmick Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/17/22 Full Review Audience Member Forget the naysayers. If you're just looking for a good scare without too much thought, this movie is a winner. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/29/21 Full Review Audience Member It had an impressive base material, the lights that for years have been observed in the mountains of North Carolina. It was a terrifying subject, with which great things could be done, full of suspense and terror. An ambitious but well-made project would be a great film about alien abductions. Unfortunately, everything is a good premise and nothing else. The movie is ridiculously cheap in more ways than one. The script is generic and just starting out you know how it's going to end. The performances are bad, the characters are not interesting and you don't care what happens to them. The special and practical effects are ridiculous, there is a particular scene in the film where some birds are used to scare the protagonists, but you can see that they are of poor quality plastic and very cheap. Instead of scaring, it laughs at how bad this looks. It's because of these silly movies that aliens aren't treated with respect in the film industry and horror movie fans have to see this generic crap over and over again. Zero recommended if you are looking to look, seriously, if you want to make fun of a little of the bad film that is, becomes tolerable this garbage. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member bad acting bad movie but the story line had potential Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I couldn't finish this movie, it was so bad. The actors were bad and the special effects were laughable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Movie was pretty good . Rated: 3/4 Apr 4, 2014 Full Review Deirdre Crimmins Film Thrills Alien Abduction is a great movie. While it does have a lot going against it, you need to trust me on this one. Aug 21, 2018 Full Review Carolyn Cox The Mary Sue The events that inspired the movie are more believable than the essential conceit of found footage. It sacrifices the story to constantly insist otherwise. Aug 1, 2017 Full Review Zach Hollwedel Under the Radar Alien Abduction isn't done poorly, per se, but it's not at all entertaining.
