Sheila McCagg Obituary
McCagg, Sheila Simmons HUDSON Sheila Simmons McCagg of Stottville died on May 19, 2022, following a lengthy struggle with the life-altering and devastating Alzheimer's disease. A native of Columbia County, Sheila was born on June 26, 1947, to John "Jack" and Edith (Drobner) Simmons in Hudson. Before retirement, she spent more than 30 years as a stenographer-secretary with the Columbia County Treasurer office. Sheila is survived by her husband of nearly 52 years, Harvey McCagg; a son, Michael (Alicia) McCagg of Hudson; and grandchildren, Connor and Kayleigh McCagg of Hudson. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, May 23, at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Ave., Chatham. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in St. James Church, Chatham, followed by interment in the Ghent Union Cemetery. Full obituary at frenchblasl.com.
