Plug in your Echo device into an outlet. In about a minute, Alexa will greet you and let you know to complete setup in the Alexa app.

Open the Alexa app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device. If you aren't prompted to set up your device after opening the Alexa app, tap the More icon to add your device manually.

A. If your Echo device loses its Internet connection or has intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity issues, first try restarting your Echo device. Remove the power adapter, wait 30 seconds and then reconnect it. Make sure you're using the power adapter included with your Echo device. Yes, Alexa can speak another language, such as Spanish. To enable multilingual mode, ask Alexa to speak in multiple languages or change the default language. For example, say “Alexa, speak Spanish” to change your default language. If you say “Alexa, speak English and Spanish” you can speak to Alexa in either language and she responds in that language. If you say “Alexa, stop speaking Spanish” you switch back to your primary language setting.
