I don't know what's up with the 3 star reviews this album is getting but in my opinion this might be Prodigy's best solo album. We all know by now that H.N.I.C. 3 was a disappointment but Albert Einstein more than makes up for it. This album contains the best beats Alchemist has ever done, hands down. Considering the fact that Alchemist has never put out a weak track that's saying a lot. All his beats are nice but for whatever reason he took his production skills to the next level on this album. Maybe he respects Prodigy very much as a rapper. Whatever the case this album is Prodigy's best solo effort due largely in part to Alchemist's dope production. Up until now I thought H.N.I.C. 2 was P's best solo album. With dark, grimey tracks like New Yitty and When I See You and Veteran's Memorial, it was his best solo album at the time. But Albert Einstein trumps it by far. The beats on this album are way out there and more complex but that's a good thing for me. More traditional Mobb fans might be a little put off by this new style of production that Alchemist used and that might explain the 3 star reviews. Try to think outside the traditional Mobb Deep Havoc and Alchemist sound, which don't get me wrong, is not a bad sound at all. I've enjoyed it all these years. But give this new sound a chance too. It's just as dark and grimey as the sound you're used to, just with more elements and more complex. To those who say Prodigy has fallen off lyrically I disagree. Yes, he derailed a little with H.NI.C. 3 but every artist is entitled to a slip up every now and then. Think of all your favorite rappers and artists. How many of them have put out perfect albums every single time? They go though label changes which can limit their budget for the album. They are still human just like you so they go through life changes which can impact the lyrical content and overall quality of their lyrics. I think H.N.I.C. 3 was a combination of both. I bought it, saved maybe 5 or 6 songs to my Itunes library, sold the hard copy and never listened to it again. I don't even put it in my Ipod Touch. I made sure I put Albert Einstein in it though and you can best believe it isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Death Sentence is a sick track. Y.N.T. is my jam and it is simply beautiful. I never thought I'd say that about a rap song but the beat is so nice and sublime it's beautiful. It's a song you can bang in your car on a nice, peaceful sunny day on your way to the beach or with your girl riding shotgun with you in the passenger seat. Or you could just bump it by yourself and slip into deep peaceful thought. Either way it's one of the highlights of the album and there are no weak tracks on it. So just like the classics, Nas's Illmatic, Biggie's Ready To Die, Mobb's Infamous, Hell On Earth and Murda Muzik albums, Raekwon's Cuban Linx, Genius's Liquid Swords and Kool G Rap's Live And Let Die and Wanted Dead Or Alive, you can listen to it straight through without skipping any tracks. It's a modern day classic and possibly the best true non-commercialized rap album to come out in 2013. It's definitely a breath of fresh air because I thought this year was gonna be a waste as far as true hip hop. I've been mostly buying re-issues and old classic rap albums. Havoc's 13 solo album was decent but didn't quite have the edge that Albert Einstein has. This is the best new material to come out this year. Dough Pildin, Confessions, Breeze and Raw Forever are also slamming tracks. The songs I mentioned are the standout tracks but the rest of the songs are good in their own way too and really keep the album flowing. With one nice, short intro and no annoying skits or interludes, this album was formatted just like a classic old school hip hop album. Kind of like LL Cool J's Radio. No skits, just slamming tracks straight through to bump in your boombox cassette deck. Not a long album but all the songs on it are bangin'. You can tell P is an old school head and in this case it works to his advantage. A slamming album in 2013 to bump straight through in your CD player or Ipod. Prodigy's flow remains the same, dark and grimey as ever but with a slight evil edge to it. On one song, I forget which one, he talks about blowing a guy's brains out in front of his young daughter and how the little b**** is gonna spend half her life in therapy from seeing her pops get slaughtered. So to anybody that says Prodigy has lost his edge I'd advise you to listen to this album a couple more times and rethink that statement. I understand how more traditional Mobb fans might not immediately get into this album but there's no denying it's a slamming album regardless. If you're a Mobb Deep or Prodigy fan you should definitely have this in your collection. Peace!

I honestly didn't know what to expect from this, P has been scaring me lately with his work!!!! But Alchemist is my favorite producer and I love how his production work has evolved so, I decided to check it out!!!! Okay lets get this part out of the way, the Prodigy we all love from the '90's was beyond magnificent but, after H.N.I.C. (year 2001) his style went through a change!!!! A change older fans to this day still do not like, most new fans are okay with his sound and most new listeners say "He's Okay" or "He Sucks!!!!" This album is a bit refreshing, his delievery has improved, not to the days of "Hell on Earth" but, he sounds way better than he normally does!!!! I can't say I've heard a song on here that was garbage!!!! I hope he keeps improving, this album will surprise you!!!!

I WOULD GIVE THIS CD A 5 STAR RATING SIMPLY FOR THE BEATS ALONE. BUT I BELEIVE IN THE FULL PACKAGE MEANING THE BEATS & RHYMES BOTH HAVE TO BE ON POINT. WE ALL NO PRODIGY ISN'T THE LYRICAL MC HE USE TO BE & HE NEVER WILL BE AGAIN, BUT HE DOES DO A PRETTY GOOD JOB FLOWING ON THE BEATS. GIVE IT A LISTEN MOBB DEEP WILL NEVER BE THE SAME GROUP THEY 1NCE WERE. PRODIGY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME MC HE 1NCE WAS. BE HONEST WHO IS AS GOOD OF A MC FROM THE 2ND GOLDEN ERA OF HIP HOP BESIDES AZ OR MAYBE REDMAN + RAEKWON & GHOSTFACE. BIGGIE IS DEAD 2PAC IS DEAD NAS & JAY-Z ARE STILL GOOD BUT THEY AREN'T THE SAME MC'S THEY USE TO BE EITHER & I SAY THAT SADLY!!!!

Hard hitting beats from Alchemist. Dark and somber for the most part, matching the street rhymes from Prodigy. There are a few lighter uptempo ones as well. Prodigy doesn't vary much from the thug raps, throwing in some braggadocio and personal struggles. I thought the production could've been a little better, but on the whole this album hits. The sample on, "Breeze," is phenomenal, some obscure eastern European record dug up by ALC. I must have played that song 50 times when I first got the record. I give this album a solid B- 8/10.

Although there might've been one or two songs I didn't like production-wise, prodigy did his thing lyrically..a dope album altogether

Prodigy comes back strong with another full-length collaboration with Alchemist. While it doesn't quite have the cinematic sweep of Return Of The Mac, their masterpiece from 2007, there isn't a weak cut on the record. The standout track for me is Confessions, which features some of Prodigy's finest image-painting - you won't soon forget the weed smoke coming out of the bullet hole glass. Real hip hop, real good.

Alchemist had his way with the boards, as usual. Once, you get past the sadistic album cover...you will find this album was brilliantly produced. Prodigy and Alchemist get back together in the studio for another compilation of dope material. Those who did not like Return of The Mac album, will definitely be happy with this one. Check out the samples. Enjoy.

Not as good as Return Of The Mac but better than HNIC 3. Takes a couple of listens to really understand how genius this record is. LDMKV is ridiculous and is worth the album alone. Product of the 80's is a classic if you don't have it I highly recommend grabin' it. Also HNIC pt. 2 is a keeper as well.

Que dire de cette album. Juste PARFAIT !!!

This is a phenomenal album. Alch has some amazing production on this, Curb ya dogs being particularly standout And Prodigy is back on form after the awful HNIC 3 album. Easily the best hip hop album since Marcberg.

"Albert Einstein" von Prodigy & Alchemist ist genial. Prodigy ist wohl auf und präsentiert sich von seiner besten Seite. Lyrisch einfach der Hammer und ehrlich gesagt habe ich das nicht erwartet von P das er solche Lines zieht einsame spitze und die Beats von Alc sind einfach passend und machen die Platte jetzt schon zum Klassiker. Für alle Rap/Hip Hop Fans ist diese Lp ein muss. Mehr Einstein geht nicht. Top
