What travelers are saying
- Pioneer08935854778Jacksonville, FL1 contributionBest WWII ship tour. Art brings the history of the ship to life with funny anecdotes from his own navel background. Three cheers for Art!Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RonL40Utica, NY3,586 contributionsVery broad collection with excellent displays and curatorship. The art of the Native Americans from New York, especially from the Iroquois Confederacy, was featured in a tremendously varied and interesting exhibit. Being from Utica ourselves, we loved the Henry Di Spirito exhibit... beautiful group. There are many technological, historical and natural history exhibits if that's your preference. Don't miss my uncle's rock contributions in the Geology collection!Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SINYTravelerStaten Island, NY3,805 contributionsWe were in town for a concert, and did a bit of exploring. The capital building is an architectural marvel. Our tour guide Grant was outstanding, informative and personable. While you can walk around the building unguided, the tour provides an incredible amount of information.Written April 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RonL40Utica, NY3,586 contributionsThe highlight of a visit is the huge Hudson River School of Art collection... over eighty paintings. Wonderful group that included most of the masters. Several by Thomas Cole. Plus Sarah Cole, Frederic Church, Asher B. Durand and many more. Especially good group from the lesser-known William Hart. Don't miss the sculpture by George Rickey... beautiful brushed metal suspended from the ceiling. Other collections in the museum included selections of Egyptian art, neoclassic sculpture and an exhibit of work by Hunt Slonem.Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - amusementparkguy1104 contributionsA friend and I took the tour of this mansion yesterday. It is amazing! There is much history to be learned that's not always in the history books. The home is beautiful. Ian, the tour guide, is very knowledgeable. This is a definite must do experience.Written August 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- mpursellPortland, ME633 contributionsI wasn't able to see a show here during my visit to Albany, but it's definitely worth a walk by to see the marquee lit up at night. It's just a few blocks from downtown, and easily walkable if you're staying in the area.Written October 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - world_explorerSan Diego, CA93 contributionsI didn’t get to go in. The outside is a nice place for a walk or sit to read. I see people there exercising. The museum is nearby and the parks is a great place for people watching.Written September 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - shimmyonthegoLondon, Canada35 contributionsOn a very hot day in May, Washington Park was a perfect place to visit. The 'Park Lake' and water feature, and the many trees helped create a very relaxing and cooling experience. The water was so clear you easily see the fish in the lake. Tulips were still in bloom. Many pathways for walking, and places to park for ease of access in the park. Lots of benches to sit and reflect.Written July 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- dambankerToronto, Canada1,245 contributionsCame here in the morning, pretty cool place, definitely felt futuristic and different. The Egg was the most interesting. Didn't have enough time to explore the Museum unfortunately, next time. I had no idea this was here just came across while doing a walkabout, very happy that I did find it. Highly recommend coming here.

The Visitor Center is worth the trip by itself, with lots of interesting exhibits and excellent restrooms. The trails are varied, rolling ups and downs with unique views. If you are lucky, you will see Karner Blue Butterflies.Written August 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - aansPickering, Canada11 contributionsIt's a mall, like any other mall. Has some stores that are unique to it, like primark and lego store. Would choose this mall over others in the area.Written July 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SGP613Ottawa, Canada10 contributionsGreat historical venue. Interesting to learn not only about the Underground Railroad and the roles of Stephen and Harriet Myers, but also got to learn about the museum project itself. A lot of really important historical artifacts.Written March 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
