Dr. Alastair Windsor, MD, FRCS, is a specialist colorectal surgeon in London (United Kingdom) and he is widely regarded as a leader in the field of coloproctology and intestinal failure. Dr. Windsor is well-known for his high standards of surgical care. He is also well-known for his expertise in the management of abdominal wall hernias and has contributed to major advances for the surgical reconstruction of the abdominal wall. He is a board member of the British Hernia Society (BHS) and was a founding member of the Surgical European Crohn's and Colitis Organization, as well as a former member of the committee of the IBD Section of the British Society of Gastroenterology. He is a committed surgical trainer and educator and he has run numerous surgical courses and conferences worldwide. Dr. Windsor is also an active surgical researcher and has authored more than 150 publications and book chapters.
