Answer: Raymond Burr

Although Raymond Burr appeared in 75 feature films including great film noir movies like "His Kind of Woman", "Raw Deal" and "Pitfall", the classic Hitchcock "Rear Window" and the original cult classic "Godzilla" and in the late 1960's on TV as "Ironside" for 195 episodes. For all that he will be forever known as "Perry Mason" from the TV series of the same name. Every week from 1957 through 1966 we watched as he saved someone from a life in prison or even a death sentence. In most of the episodes, he was up against District Attorney, Hamilton Burger played by William Talman. Ironically Raymond Burr initially auditioned for the Hamilton Burger role. Perry mason was assisted each week by his secretary Della Street, played by Barbara Hale, and private detective Paul Drake, played by William Hopper, who was the son of Hollywood gossip columnist Hedda Hopper.
The series ran for nine seasons which produced 275 episodes.

Answer: Agnes Moorehead

An accomplished stage and screen actress, Agnes Moorehead is forever identified as Endora, the mother of Samantha Stevens in the classic situation comedy "Bewitched". Agnes featured in more than 50 feature films and was nominated for an Oscar four times, most notably in "Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte" where she more than held her own with Bette Davis and Olivia De Havilland.

Answer: James Arness

James Arness had appeared in more than 30 feature films and a number of TV shows, prior to gaining the role of Marshall Matt Dillon on "Gunsmoke". Arness, with movie veterans Amanda Blake (Miss Kitty), Milburn Stone (Doc Adams) and Dennis Weaver, starred in the show when it premi�red in 1955 and all but Dennis Weaver stayed through most of its twenty year run. Glenn Strange, Ken Curtis, Buck Taylor, and Burt Reynolds all played long-running characters on the show.

Answer: William Shatner

Born in Montreal, Canada in 1931 William Shatner will be forever identified as Captain James T Kirk. After fifteen years of small parts in movies and guest starring in many series William Shatner was cast in "Star Trek" and boldly went where no one had gone before. Of all his parts prior to "Star Trek," he is best remembered for his episode on, "The Twilight Zone" titled "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet". An interesting piece of trivia, in 1964 he guest starred in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." in an episode titled "The Project Strigas Affair" with Leonard Nimoy who, of course, co-starred with him in "Star Trek".

Answer: Edward Asner

Edward Asner appeared as Lou Grant in, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and the spinoff "Lou Grant", in more than 250 episodes. Added to that is another body of over 350 movie and television acting performances. Little wonder he has earned seven Emmys from 20 nominations and five Golden Globes from eleven nominations. Edward Asner is an actor's actor.

Answer: Kelsey Grammer

Another character with a long run in two series was Dr Frasier Crane, played by Kelsey Grammer. Frasier Crane featured for nine seasons on "Cheers", then, moving from Boston to Seattle, in the eponymous series "Frasier' for a further eleven seasons. Kelsey Grammer is a very accomplished actor, despite this no matter what movie or TV series he appears in, some one is bound to say "oh that's Frasier".

Answer: Alan Alda

Regardless of how many movies or how many awards, Alan Alda will always live in our minds as Captain Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce, in the long-running series "M*A*S*H". The son of actor Robert Alda, Alan has made a name for himself since "M*A*S*H", featuring in movies like "Murder at 1600", "Crimes and Misdemeanors" and "The Aviator" plus countless TV series and TV movies. It is of course "M*A*S*H" for which he will be remembered.
Interesting trivia, Alan Alda has won Emmys for Acting, Directing and Writing.

Answer: James Garner

James Garner was "Maverick". Jack Kelly, Roger Moore and Robert Colbert all played relatives of Bret Maverick but there was only one "Maverick". James Garner appeared in over 60 TV and feature movies, notable among these are, "36 Hours", "Darby's Rangers", "Duel at Diablo", "Support Your Local Sheriff", "Victor Victoria", "Space Cowboys" and "Murphy's Romance". James was also well known on television for his role as Jim Rockford on "The Rockford Files".

It is however for his role as "Maverick" that he is most remembered.

Answer: Andy Griffith

"The Andy Griffith Show" was set in the fictional town of Mayberry, North Carolina and starred Andy Griffith as the town sheriff, Andy Taylor. The show made a star of Andy's sidekick, Deputy Barney Fife played by Don Knotts. Also in the cast were, Ron Howard as Andy's son Opie and movie and TV veteran Frances Bavier as Aunt Bee.

Answer: Barbara Feldon

"Get Smart" starred Don Adams as Agent 86 - Maxwell Smart and Barbara Feldon as 99. Barbara Feldon was a very smart woman, having won the top prize on, "The $64,000 Question". She achieved a BA in Drama and reportedly had an IQ in the mid 180's. "Get Smart" has become a cult classic and it brought the world catch phrases like, "Sorry About That", "And Loving It", and "Would You Believe". Further, who could forget, The Cone of Silence. Don Adams tried a number of comedy series after "Get Smart", but none achieved the fame of this series.
