10 Awesome Horror Villains Trapped In TERRIBLE Movies

Legion came and went without making much of a dent in 2010, but there is one image viewers have struggled to shake from their minds ever since - Doug Jones opening his gaping maw and galloping around like a man-spider-thing.

We're talking of course about the Ice Cream Man, one of the action-horror flick's secondary villains who shows up to raid the diner where a woman (Adrianne Palicki) pregnant with humanity's last hope is holed up.

And the guy makes one hell of an entrance, rocking up in his tune-belting ice cream van and revealing himself to be played by the impossibly long-limbed, sunken-eyed creature actor Jones.

The juxtaposition of Jones' eerie screen presence against his inviting ice cream man uniform is just the beginning - a moment later he opens his mouth unnaturally wide, elongates his limbs in decidedly inhuman fashion, and makes a bee-line towards the heroes.

Inside of two minutes, we've been totally sold on this character's effectiveness, so it's a huge bummer that he's then instantly shot dead by the heroes mere seconds later.

In a movie that doesn't have a whole lot else to offer - and extensively featured the Ice Cream Man in its marketing, no less - what an utter waste this was of both an awesome character design and terrifically unsettling portrayal by Jones.
