New, well-developed characters add dimension to this batty satire, creating a comedy much more substantial than the original.

Jackie Potts Miami Herald Add to the crypt Addams Family Values, the illustrious and far superior sequel which picks up where the original left off. Rated: 3/4 Sep 22, 2022 Full Review Derek Malcolm Guardian The result, if you've seen the first effort, is utterly predictable throughout since the whole conception is stymied by the fact that this is a black comedy designed for a PG certificate, and thus only a very pale shade of gray. Sep 22, 2022 Full Review David Denby New York Magazine/Vulture Addams Family Values is a rare comedy sequel that actually improves on the original, and the reason, I suspect, is that Rudnick, who wrote the screenplay, has been allowed to run wild. Sep 22, 2022 Full Review Trace Thurman Horror Queers Podcast A step up from its already-solid predecessor, Addams Family Values doubles down on the camp and macabre humor to wonderful effect, thanks in no small part to scene-stealing turns from Ricci and Cusack. Rated: 5/5 Dec 6, 2022 Full Review Joe Lipsett Horror Queers Podcast A more confident film than its predecessor. Very appreciative of the harsh satire about Thanksgiving and the substantial roles for female actors, particularly a very game Joan Cusack, who delivers an iconic camp performance as Debbie. Rated: 4/5 Nov 27, 2022 Full Review Stephanie Archer Film Inquiry While the film can lean into corny at times, following predictable tropes and expectations, Cusack‘s performance as Debbie truly elevates Addams Family Values into a sequel that can stand strong with its predecessor, as well as on its own. matthias s "Addams Family Values" is a quirky delight that oozes with nostalgia, earning a solid 3.5 stars in my book. As a kid, I adored this film, and revisiting it as an adult only solidified its charm. The humor is as sharp as ever, eliciting genuine laughs throughout. Plus, who could forget their childhood crush on Christina Ricci's Wednesday Addams? She steals every scene she's in. Christopher Lloyd, as Uncle Fester, remains a standout, though as a kid, I never realized he was the same actor as Doc Brown from "Back to the Future"! It's a testament to his versatility. The entire cast brings their A-game, and you can sense the fun they had making it. Every quirky line and eccentric moment still holds up perfectly. In essence, "Addams Family Values" is a timeless classic that guarantees a fun time, whether you're watching it for the first time or revisiting it for the umpteenth. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/10/24 Full Review Huey F I love wednesday so much Im gonna die Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review Jim H If you like your camp and humor fiendishly dark, you'll enjoy Addams Family Values. As a bonus, there's a play within the movie. A revised Thanksgiving pageant in which the Pilgrims get the reception from the Native Americans that they actually deserved. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review dennis v Very good movie, and hey I found useful website where you can watch movies free online here it is https://pinoyflixer.site/ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/24 Full Review Emery A The acidic humor remains as expected and they made a good satire about Thanksgiving. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/24 Full Review H K Inventive, creative, innovative and funny from start to finish. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
