I have been wanting to try this place because I heard their banh beo ( steamed rice cake with pork grinds ) and banh bot loc ( steam clear tapioca dumpling with shrimp ) are really good.

They are not disappointing, service is fast and refill our water a few times. The banh beo with fish sauce is delicious and the banh bot loc is similar to shrimp dumpling ( dim sum ) but chewy and has good flavor. They are also good for sharing in the group!

We also ordered bun Bo hue, can't really handle spicy so we ordered mild but it is still too spicy for us I think it is a good choice with people that like spicy. But the pork blood and beef flank are good.

Parking lot have tiny parking spaces so be careful when parking. We arrive around 11am so no wait to the restaurant. Will come back for banh beo and banh bot loc! Price wise each dish is around $15 or less so it's okay.

It's hard to find a good bowl of bún bò huế. I've been to Ngu Binh my entire life, even in their original location in the same plaza. The quality is consistent, and the portion is very filling.

My only qualm is that I can get pretty thirsty after eating bún bò huế because of how đậm đà (bold) the flavors are.

The parking in this plaza is hard to find.

Solid bun bo hue and banh beo! I loved the broth for the bun bo hue and my wife got mi quang which she liked, and it had sooooo much meat!

We'll definitely be back for more!

      Updated review

I'm updating it cuz I didn't realize the first review didn't upload my photos and I already deleted them. So I came back here again to have their bun bo hue and is still the perfect one for me. This time is even better than the first time, I got the toes of the pig which is my favorite part of the pig lol. And I ordered the spicy one with everything in it. To my surprise, it was even that spicy, I like it. I put in all the herbs and beans sprouts lol I went on a Saturday in the late afternoon around like 4 ish. It was crowded but I was eating by myself so I didn't have to wait. One of the young waitresses has a thick accent and it was kinda hard for me to understand her when she asked what I like to drink. It took a couple of takes, she keeps saying " dinks dinks" what? Oh drinks lol I like their coffee with condensed milk, it could be a little more hot and in a coffee cup instead of a to go cup, since I'm eating inside. Other then that, everything was great, staff was friendly and quick service. Parking can be tricky but I park at the other end of the plaza.

I'm so happy to have found Ngu Binh! Their food is absolutely delicious - I'd rate it 12/10! This is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, known for its specialties like Bun Bo Hue (beef noodle soup), Banh Beo (steamed rice cakes), Banh It Ram (Fried Mocha Dumplings), and more. They prioritize using the freshest ingredients and preparing dishes to order, which means some items, like the Banh It Ram (Fried Mocha Dumplings), may take a little longer, but trust me, it's well worth the wait!

As for drinks, we tried their durian milkshake and a new tea, and both were simply delightful. The service is friendly, and I'd easily give it 5 stars! I can't wait to return and savor their Bun Bo Hue. Highly recommended!

Mediocre at best. Bun Bo Hue is not good at all and we were promised this has authentic soup. I don't know where all these five star elite reviews are from

I came in on a Sunday during noon time and there was no wait to be seated. I ordered #1 bun bo hue and asked for mild spice. The food came out pretty quick. The soup was flavorful with a hint of spice but wasn't too spicy for me. It also came with noodles, beef shank, pork bone, pork blood and veggies on the side that you can put in. The portion was pretty filling, it came with a lot of meat. Definitely one of my favorite spots for bun bo hue!

Been here a couple times now and have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. They have two locations (Westminster and Fountain Valley). Ngự Bình is a good reliable option for some feel-good traditional Central Vietnamese cuisine.

This is a clean restaurant with very fast service. Our orders came out within minutes. The menu was simple but had pretty much everything you would expect from a restaurant that specializes in central Vietnamese cuisine.

My friend was craving Bún Bò Huế (spicy hue-style beef noodle soup) and I really wanted Bánh Bột Lộc Trần (steamed clear tapioca dumplings stuffed with pork and shrimp). Definitely 5 stars for the bánh bột lộc, as not many places can make this as well as they do. The texture and taste were perfectly chewy. The accompanying nước mắm is great (just a hint spicy).

We also got the Bánh Bèo Chén (10 small individual dishes of steam rice cakes topped with minced shrimp and crispy pork rind). Although good, the consistency of the bánh bèo is a little on the sticky side. A well-made banh beo separates from the dish cleanly. Otherwise, still pretty satisfying.

Every time I'm down in SoCal, bạn béo is a must eat.
The interior was really spacious with a lot of seating available - we went on an afternoon weekday and it wasn't too busy. The combo plate was the perfect choice to try all the bạn béo dishes. We got the bun Bo hue too - server will ask if you want it spicy and I'd say if you have a decent spice tolerance, it's not too bad.
I wish they gave more meat in the bun Bo hue but everything was really great quality and great flavor :)
