Older used book. A little interesting, but pretty much same history as 'John', much better written book and much more interesting. Item as stated and prompt delivery, would use seller again.

I met Cynthia Lennon back in '94 at the Toronto Beatlerama. She was one of the guest speakers. I brought along my copy of "A Twist of Lennon" and, after waiting in line for about a half an hour, asked her to sign my paperback. I still treasure it to this day. I have read the book several times over the years (since 1978) and I really enjoy it. Compared to others who have written books about Lennon, at least this book was written from someone who loved and lived with him and was the Mother of his son. I think the book is written with a touch of class, I mean, she certainly could have gone the other way. She really could have trashed Lennon and told many unflattering stories about the man. (In order to sell a lot of copies.) (Eg. Albert Goldman)
My interpretation of her was, she seemed to be down to earth, friendly towards the fans and showed a lot of class. There was one moment that I found special at the Toronto Festival. She was sitting in this pub with the following guests at the table: Pete Best, Allan Williams and Louise Harrison. I asked them if I could take a picture of them and they all agreed. Here I was taking a picture of these people who I only read about and...the battery went dead in my camera. Why weren't cell phones invented yet??? Well, at least I had Cynthia Lennon sign my book.

Cynthia's book was short on details once the Beatles took off but the information about the early days in Liverpool was fresh and a part of the story we hadn't heard before. Its obvious that John did love Cynthia at one time but they just grew apart. Cynthia proves herself to be a warm, realistic woman and one who still loves her John even to this day. A touching story.

Beautiful memoir of early days of the Beatles

I love Cynthia Lennon so it was only natural that I would read her books. While her second book John is pretty candid this one actually is a lighter version, in the end she tries to wrap up quickly and i can understand that. The end of Cynthia and John’s marriage was traumatic , I deliberately left that part of the story. This memoir by Cyn is a treasurefor me

Cynthia lennon's fascinating account of her relationship with John, beginning with their meeting at art school, and chronicling all their ups and downs. the book is full of interesting and sometimes funny stories about life with the beatles, and as well as photographs is illustrated with cynthia Lennon's own charming drawings of incidents in their life. There is no bitterness in this book, and the eventual breakup with john is recounted with regret but no rancour. This book should be enjoyed by anyone with an interest in the Beatles.
