A handsome signed first edition by The Franklin Library

I've only recently come upon these fine books published by The Franklin Library. I've been collecting The Easton Press' Leather-bound editions for several years now, but these editions by The Franklin Library are special in their own way. They are signed first editions, and especially commissioned by TFL. "Turn in the South" is author V.S. Naipaul's travelogue, based upon his own experiences traveling in the American South, and contains Naipaul's perspicacious observations about various aspects of Southern life such as the economy, religion, people's way of thinking, and racism, among others. Published in 1989, book is beautifully bound with a satin ribbon page marker, and the cover is especially beautiful with distinctive gilt features and a unique design. The book contains the author's signature, and is printed on acid-free, archival quality paper.
