In response to what has been described as the biggest celebrity hacking scandal in history, Hollywood stars who have seen private photos of themselves leaked online have turned to social media to express their outrage.
Over 100 mostly female celebrities are featured on a list posted Sunday on the website 4chan by an anonymous user claiming to have found personal photographs or videos. Since then, images purporting to be of the stars — including Jennifer Lawrence, Ariana Grande, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Upton — have been circulating online, believed to be obtained following an iCloud security leak enabling the hacker to access various phones.

Representatives for Jennifer Lawrence, whom the hacker claims to have sourced over 60 selfies, later acknowledged that the leaked photos were of her, issuing the following statement to The Hollywood Reporter: “This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”
Kate Upton’s attorney Lawrence Shire described the leak as a “outrageous violation” of the model’s privacy in a statement. “We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible,” he added.
Meanwhile, others on the list, such as Deathproof star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Nickelodeon regular Victoria Justice and Glee star Becca Tobin have used Twitter to confirm or deny the validity of the photos.

Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked.
