What’s your most embarrassing moment in the locker room?

Back in the beginning of 8th grade I was a late bloomer, my pubes where few and very blond, hard to see. I always had in my mind manliness = hairyness. The night before I had the great idea where I swiped my sisters mascara and darken up my pubes. That day in gym class getting changed for the first time I look down and it smeared all over me, and my underwear. It looked like I had a skid mark in the front of my underwear. I took a F for the day for not changing.( 30 years later, I happen to run into a old buddy, one of the first things he says to me is "Got any pubes yet?" " Yep, sure do. I am up to about 7, they are in a box at home, if I knew you wanted to see them, I would of brought them.")

This happened somewhere in the middle of high school for me. Basically this one time, me and a friend went to this water/theme park that we lived near at the time. We had both shown up in swim suits so we could immediately start in the water park section of the park, and then later move on to the regular theme park roller-coasters.

So, we go on slides, wave pool, all that stuff. Then we grabed our change of clothes from the shared locker we rented, and went to our respective locker rooms (she was a girl, so we went to different ones).

I walk into the shower room. It was big and communal style. Large room with showerheads surrounding it. I hang my bag with my clothes on a hook on the other side if the room, drop my trunks, and walk under a shower head.

There were others using the showers too. From people my age, up to dads in their 40s. Now, I didn't notice immediately, but about halfway through my shower I noticed I was getting some weird looks. Then I realized something. I was the only one who had taken his trunks off. Meaning I was the only one naked, surrounded by like 10-15ish guys in their trunks. I guess I hadn't noticed

Now normally I'm not too shy when it comes to nudity. I shower at the gym to this day, and chill out in the nude at home. But being an awkward teen and being the only one naked made me feel incredibly embarrassed at the time.

After quickly drying off and getting dressed in regular clothes, I did not mention this to my friend. We spent the rest of the day having fun on rides, but it sat in the back of my mind lol.

And thus ends my tale.

I was in the marching band in high school. One day we left school early to march in a parade. When we came back we were all sweaty, and I had to wait at the school for a bit until I could get a ride home. So, I decided to take a shower.

I went to the men's locker room, undressed, and walked across the locker room naked to the showers. Only when I started to shower did I hear laughter. Apparently a few girls from the band had either followed me inside or had been waiting there. I looked out just in time to see them running out of the room.

I never found out who they were or how much they saw. I assume they were there watching me strip and walk around butt naked. So, for all I know, the girls in the band were whispering about me for a while after that...

Years ago, I was on vacation and found a local Y to go to. I was headed into the sauna in the men's locker room to relax a bit with a towel in hand to sit on. Fortunately, before I entered, I peeked in the door window and realized it was a co-ed sauna as there were 2 women already inside. It was between the men's and women's locker rooms with a door on each side, so both could enter. Luckily I had carried the towel 'in front' of me, so no major crisis. I returned to my locker and put my workout shorts on and returned. When I returned, the 2 women were gone! I wondered if they had said anything at the desk, but nothing was ever said to me! When in an unfamiliar gym/Y, I either ask about facilities ahead of time, or check them out before I get naked! 😉

The same happened to me but in my case the locker broke. So I had to go only on a towel and slippers to the reception to ask for help. On my way a lady saw me, she was shocked and immediately asked me if I want to deliver a message to the reception. She did and someone came to open the locker for me. I was in panic too. It looked like the dream that I always have that I leave home without clothes without realizing it and people start staring at me on the streets hahahaha.

Back in the 8th grade in jr high I had a lower locker & this jerk had the locker above me, so when I strip & am all ready to walk naked to the open shower room I purposely push my locker almost closed but barely open, so when I get back from showering & the jerk has closed which locked my locker, so I squat down with my legs open wide with my junk hanging down which is what I was trying to avoid, then the jerk comes back from his shower naked as I am, he purposely puts his dick in my face while I’m trying to open my locker, at this time in life I was interested in guys but not actively doing anything with guys but he has his dick in my face on purpose asking me if I wanted to go behind the school to explore it, I wasn’t interested at all but I’m still in my naked squat & I feel myself growing which hanging between my legs where people behind me could notice, I really needed to get my locker open to get to dressed before it really grew to much, finally got my locker open, got it stuffed in my underwear before everyone noticed but my tormenter noticed & this went on every time we had P. I was pretty much harassed by a guy while showering. After working out, I head back to the locker room to undress and get my things to shower. I notice a guy checking me out. The problem is that he's adamant to see something. So I quickly get out of my clothes, wrap a towel around me and head to the shower. The creep follows. I take a brief shower and then put on swim supports so I can go relax in the steam room for a few (co-ed pool area and steam room). He follows. Afterwards, I head back to the shower to properly wash and leave for the day. I'll let you guess who's behind me in the showers. The showers are set up stall-style without any curtains or doors. So, toot can bet he's showering with the intent to get my attention. I didn't feel comfortable with him there, so I kept my shorts on for the majority of the shower. Just when I thought he gave up and left the shower, I took off my shorts prematurely...he swung back around checking again to see if I was naked! He then proceeded to ask me out on a date. The shower was mostly crowded and other guys can easily hear him. I politely said no. The didn't give up. Kept on asking and I keep repeating no with me getting louder each time. Guys are starting to look to see what's happening. He's still not understanding that I have -1000% interest in him and keeps being adamant about a date. I had one more no in me before I create a scene, and luckily he left. It's embarrassing having a scenario like that in the showers. Not the steam room, not the lockers; he waited until I was naked in the shower to shoot his shot.

When I was around 14 or 15 years old I was on the swim team at school. We used to have training on Saturday mornings at the school. The school was an all boys school with a large sports building that had a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, football field and so on, and had two levels of change rooms, each level having two sets of showers at either end, with lockers and benches in between, and in each set of showers there were two bradley polls (is that what they are called?) We tended to use the showers on the upper level as it was closest to the swimming pool.

One Saturday morning I stayed back after training to help the coach clean up the pool area so he could lock it up. When I was going to the change room, the coach asked if I could move my stuff to one of the downstairs change rooms as he wanted to lock off the upstairs floor as there shouldn't be anybody using that part off the building. I grabbed my sports bag and dressed in my towel and speedos, proceeded downstairs. I was by myself and the downstairs change rooms were empty.

One problem we always had with the showers was there was nowhere to put your towel in the actual shower area, like no hooks or anything, but there were towel hooks in the bench area just next to the showers. So I put my bag down on a bench closest to the showers, put my towel on the hook above my bag, grabbed some soap/shampoo, took off my speedos and went into the shower...and showered away.

After a few minutes I could hear some voices that were getting louder. It was the "First 15" rugby team. It was half time and their coach had brought them into the change room to give them a peptalk while they ate their obligatory half-time oranges.

Here's where the embarrassing part comes in. The rugby guys all sat on the benches to listen to their coach who decided to stand/lean against the bench just next to where I had my bag. There was also this large mirror on the wall just behind him that pretty much showed everything going on in the showers, so the team of boys were all listening to the coach and behind him is a reflection of me showering naked.

I could see them intermittently staring at me in the mirror so tried to position myself so they were looking at my back and waited and waited. Eventually I gave up waiting for them to finish so I turned off the showers. Now the next problem was that my towel and gear was right in front of the coach and everybody was staring at the coach. So I plucked up the courage and walked out butt naked in front of them all - a coach, a team of around 15 odd 16/17 year old guys and some dads who assisted the coach. There I was in front of them all, and you knew all eyes were on me not the coach. So I apologised to the for interrupting, and as fast as I could opened my bag, stuffed the soap and shampoo back in it, grabbed my towel and bag and started to walk to the back of the change area so not to be in front of the coach. The guys started wolf whistling at me and laughing and the coach was trying to settle them down (and I am sure was probably trying to stop himself from laughing).

I have no idea what they were thinking, but it was all pretty embarrassing.

Have had a few guys that were cruising check me out and attempt to do something with me. I’m bi so it really didn’t bother me that they were obviously looking at my junk and trying to make a move, I suppose. Just didn’t feel comfortable doing anything in the locker room. That wasn’t so much embarrassing as it was just little awkward.

I’ve gotten gotten majorly chubbed up in the showers with other guys around a few times- a bit embarrassing.

The most embarrassed I’ve been though was after a work out, I entered the showers naked as per usual, and there was guy and his younger son in there showering also and the son had an erection. I obviously wasn’t staring but felt a bit uncomfortable. Everyone minded their own business but as I left the shower they left almost at the same time and their locker was right across from mine. The…erm… erection was still very much there as we were all naked drying off and getting dressed. The dad never said a word to the son about it and there was no kind of towel dance at all. Neither one of them seemed to care in the slightest. So even though I didn’t have any sort of erection at all, for some reason the whole thing made me feel shy and embarrassed and a bit uncomfortable. I’m not sure why? I know it happens, is natural and nothing can be done about it in some cases but I just made sure to face away and get dressed as quickly as possible and leave.

Midway through shampooing at a busy UK pool communal showers, when all water suddenly stopped and they had to close pool. Suddenly loads of people in the lockerooms!

Eventually someone asked a lifeguard to fetch a bucket of pool water for me to finish my rinse. Only soapy naked guy amongst 50/60 swimmers leaving pool!

So. Many years ago. Exact same, but I had to summon help. Fortunately there was a house phone in the locker room that rang the desk.

They sent a staffer in with a big bolt cutter. This apparently happens often enough that they’re prepared for it.

Not so much a moment, but the entire time I was in junior high PE and totally avoided the group showers. Even though using them was the expected thing. As a result, I had a number of embarrassing moments, such as when some other boy would made some comment about me. And I can't remember for sure, but it probably felt embarrassing not having the courage to shower with the class like other boys did. And I'm embarrassed in retrospect that I took quick, surreptitious looks at my nude classmates. Not seeing nudity would have been impossible in that locker room--but under the circumstances, I should have made every effort to mind my own business.

I always shower before swimming. Left my key on the hook in the shower stall. After my swim, showered off, walked to my locker and realized,... No key! Searched everywhere. Finally asked a guy to go to the front desk for me. Turned out, someone had taken it TO the front desk. I never figured out why...

I locked my key in my locker and they had to vome get building staff to cut it off.

I was in 4th or 5th grade and it was the swimming unit of PE, so we actually had to change and shower. This was the 2000s and puberty was starting to come into the picture, so hyper-modesty was the way to go if you were a boy. Everyone would either do some variation of the "towel trick" or head to the toilet stalls when it came time to take off our swimsuits and at least get our underwear on. I didn't see what the big deal was since we were all boys and knew what a penis looked like, so I scoffed and pulled my trunks down in front of my locker. Locker rooms were designed for that anyway, right? Immediately, since I was now almost-completely naked and people could see my butt, everyone started yelling at me "no, don't!" It was loud enough that the gym teacher noticed and called to us from the locker room door to ask what was going on. Nobody told her what really happened or who did it, but I felt so ashamed for causing a stir just doing what I thought I was supposed to do.

Basically everyday in high school and jr high was an embarrassing day in the locker room because i was extremely short and I hit puberty extremely late. all of it I didn’t have a single hair on my body while all my classmates had giant pube bushes, with ahir on their arms, legs and armpits. I would even see some guys in the shower that had hair in there ass and a little bit on there chest and back but I was completely smooth everywear but the top of my head. I was bullied for my long hair, guys would say I grow it long to make up for the lack of hair I have everywhere else but I grew my hair long because I liked how it looked no matter what anyone said or did. I was a key lock and safety pin the key to my towel while hanging out in the locker room or to the inside of my shorts’ waist band when working out.

But the embarrassing thing happened the other day. I was headed to the shower and hit a slick place in the floor and almost busted my ass.

In my mid teens I went kayaking with a friend at a local yacht club. We often hung out naked so when we got back to the locker room we quickly stripped down first and got ready for our shower while nude.

Some middle school child walked in from the pool, saw us both nude, giggled and ran outside and started YELLING that there were naked guys in the locker room. Not wanting the optics of a child screaming about us being naked we quickly rushed into one closed shower stall. Now we’re both nude, with our clothes and towels not with us hiding out till the kid leaves or stops yelling.

As we’re hiding in there we both just decide to shower while we wait, it’s a tight space but we make it work. While this is happening we can hear another group of guys come into the locker room. One guys takes the only other stall (small locker room) as his two friends are clearly waiting for the other shower (ours) to open up. Now remember we both are in there fully nude and literally ALL of our belongings, towels included, are outside on the bench. We try to wait it out but we can hear them starting to make comments. We eventually bite the bullet and both exit the shower together. The other dudes are in their 20s and just give us bewildered looks as two naked teenagers exit a shower stall together. My friend tries to make small talk but the guys laugh and ask why we were sharing a shower when there were two open. We’re still ass naked as we fumble and try to make up a story and fail miserably.

Saw those guys a few times that summer and I’m sure they had some interesting things to say to their friends whenever we passed by

Similar but I remembered the combination to my lock - problem was it was not my lock. I am terribly nearsighted but could see well enough to get from the lockers to the showers and back without my glasses (especially since I tried to use the same locker). On the day in question I had to use another locker but out of went back to my usual one after my shower - and of course it had the same generic Master combination padlock on it. OOPS. After a number of failures, it dawned on me that I used a different locker that day and I sheepishly walked over to the right locker, got dressed and left. Fortunately, whomever was using my usual locker did not show up as I was trying to unlock his lock 🙂

In high school I would write my locker combination on the tag of my speedo.
