One of the major North-South Avenues in Manhattan, and it has a lot of traffic moving quickly. At the lower end you have some interesting parts of the West Village. At the upper end you have Times Square with all the theaters and nightlife. Busy, busy.

This is the famous garment district. This is also centered around Penn Station. No shortage of hotels, great restaurants, bars, and wonderful shopping. Can be hectic during rush hour. But great Happy Hours in the local bars.

Seventh Ave is a safer avenue for a walk after dark. There are many tobacco and cannabis shops along the way. Less of a marijuana smell than Eighth Avenue. Plenty of quality eateries and discount pizza.

We walked down Seventh Avenue by Penn Station in the Garment District. Not as glamorous as Fifth or Sixth Ave but still plenty of shopping and restaurants.

We drove down 7th Avenue just north of Fines Square on a Sunday morning. Very peaceful and quiet compared to during the week.

If you like Fashion, it is worth a stroll down Seventh Avenue. Lots of shops and fun boutiques. Highly recommend!

7th Ave is where there is plenty of hustle and bustle. As a Long Islander, my Manhattan trip begins here. I remember as a kid walking down 7th Ave and seeing the racks of garments being pushed across the street.

Great avenue to explore north and south from the axis at Seventh Avenue & Broadway - aka Times Square! At the junction of 7th Avenue and Broadway you'll find the hub of Manhattan. Bustling, busy area with tourists photographing Times Square, shopping, dining at great restaurants, or buying tickets to a Broadway show.

7th Avenue becomes less busy walking north from Times Square on 7th Avenue as this takes you to Carnegie Hall, Columbus Circle, and Central Park. Walking south from Times Square takes you to the Madison Square Garden, the Garment District where 7th Avenue in known as "Fashion Avenue" and south to Greenwich Village. We recently enjoyed another great walk on 7th Avenue north at Columbus Circle where it seems we find more locals in NYC. Love to find new areas, restaurants and shops on 7th Avenue.

We spent a good deal of time on and near Seventh Ave, walking to other attractions or on the avenue itself. Lots of places to shop and attractions to see. Very safe and always someone who was willing to help with directions and advice.
