The Houston Astros playoff run began on Tuesday, October 11, against the Seattle Mariners. While Astros pitcher Justin Verlander got the Game 1 start in the American League Divisional Series, millions of fans, including a furry friend, were also watching the right-hander on the mound.

Verlander's brother, Ben Verlander, shared a video on social media where his dog, Lyla, watches her uncle, Justin, pitch on TV.

In the video, Ben Verlander's dog watches the TV announcers showing the lineup for the Mariners. As soon as the camera pans over to the 39-year-old pitcher, Lyla jumps up in excitement for seeing her uncle warming up before the game started.
