The FCC voted 3-2 along party lines to make changes to the broadcast ownership rules, the end result of the 2014 quadrennial review of the rules. The vote came today (11/16) at the COMMISSION's Open Meeting.

The MINNEAPOLIS STAR TRIBUNE is reporting that the MINNESOTA TWINS are returning to ENTERCOM News-Talk WCCO-A/MINNEAPOLIS after 11 seasons away from their former longtime radio home.
The TWINS aired on WCCO starting in 1961, when they arrived from WASHINGTON, and left after 46 seasons to move to crosstown HUBBARD Sports KSTP-A (1500 ESPN) for the 2007 season. The POHLAD family, which owns the team, bought what is now Alternative KQGO (GO 96.3)/EDINA-MINNEAPOLIS for its NORTHERN LIGHTS BROADCASTING, LLC and the games moved to that station in 2013. POLNET COMMUNICATIONS has shut down Gospel WRXB-A-W243AK/ST. PETERSBURG BEACH-TAMPA and has placed the station for sale, according to posts from hosts and others on FACEBOOK.
CHICAGO-based POLNET bought WRXB and WTMY-A/SARASOTA from METROPOLITAN RADIO GROUP for $1.1 million in 2007. The company sold WTMY for $75,000 in 2013.
ENTERCOM Classic Hits WOLX (94.9 WOLX)/MADISON just flipped to “MADISON’s Home For The Holidays.” At noon today, the MCGAW in the Morning show (JIM MCGAW and TERI BARR) paused the Classic Hits format after MICHAEL JACKSON’s “Don't Stop Til’ You Get Enough” and launched wall-to-wall CHRISTMAS with TOM PETTY’s “CHRISTMAS All Over Again.”

BMLG RECORDS' FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE (FGL) will perform alongside BEBE REXHA on the "2017 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS" (AMAs) this coming SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19th. FGL will join REXHA for a performance of the collaboration, "Meant To Be," which appears on REXHA's "All Your Fault: Part 2" EP. The show will be broadcast live from the MICROSOFT THEATER in LOS ANGELES and will air on ABC-TV beginning at 8p (ET).
