Hop Valley started in Springfield OR (adjacent to Eugene) in early 2009; we've been to their brewpubs a couple times ... I really enjoy their products, but it was disappointing to learn that they sold a majority interest to Tenth and Blake Beer Company (the craft division of MillerCoors) last summer
Been to Hop Valley many times on my trips to Springfield/Euegene staying at the Courtyard initially and then the Hilton Garden Inn after it opened. Great beer.

I actually did the one above my seat had blankets and other stuff in it, maybe FA bags. So I started to put my bag in front, but that was two rows away, so I ended up choosing the compartment directly across from my row.

I think I was around the 6th or 8th person to board the plane but the rest were all in F. The GAs even remarked, after calling for pre-boarding and families and no one stepping up, "ok, well then I guess we'll begin with our Premium cabin, First Class and Diamond Medallions welcome on board" etc. (A family with an infant did show up later in the boarding process.)

When we arrived, I timed it from "ding!" to deplaning -- took 12 minutes before I got off the plane --> Hall of Pathetic Rants

I always try to do that, and a few feet forward, as it let's me more easily observe my bag to prevent any funny business.

I forgot to mention that, after the indecision and finally stowing my overhead bag, I had time to use the lav (maybe slightly larger overall than the 739 F lav? But with the same tiny sliver of a sink) and there was still nobody anywhere close to me. It was kinda surreal.

just enjoyed a "Next Level" IPA (7.2% ABV, 55 IBU) at HopSaint Brewing Company in Torrance CA ... it's a little too citrusy for my taste, but I'd certainly order it again

Found a new Tap Bar yesterday: World of Beer. Never heard of them but the barkeep said they have 75-80 places around the country.

That aside, a nice tap wall of 48. I enjoyed a New Belgium Abbey, a dubbel, and
a Guinness (I was driving was the driver).

They opened (and, I believe, have since closed) one of those in my hometown. Wasn't actually impressed with the place, but REALLY liked their training team. They went around to every beer bar (even the divey ones) in my town, made friends, and tried to steal away all the most knowledgeable beertenders. I'm sorry they didn't work out, despite not frequenting the place myself.

Hmm, I'm around but fairly busy. Hosting a work cookout Saturday and then Sunday we're in the Texas Hill Country for our quarterly wine club pickup party. Unfortunately, I'm on the late shift during the week which makes it difficult to make it up to Austin area after work. If you wanted to come to San Antonio or meet somewhere like New Braunfels, I could probably meet for a late dinner or beer.

Any suggestions? I'm heading to PRG with the wife and infant in a few weeks.
I'll type up a few suggestions on restaurants and things to do.

If you are doing anything involving a "main" train station, be careful: Prague has 3 "main" train stations, and your round trip might not return to the same "main" train station whence you departed.
LOL, we only dealt with the Hlavni Nadrasi, which is in a park. In Brno, we arrived at the Hlavni Nadrasi, but departed from Dolni Nadrasi.

Tourist options:
  • Prague Castle
  • Vysehrad
  • Zizkov (this requires a pretty good walk uphill, but it's all paved asphalt paths)
  • Petrin Gardens
  • Letna Beer Garden (may or may not be open based on weather)

Get an all-day pass for the metro, but be sure to check which stations are handicapped accessible, so you don't have to haul a stroller up and down stairs.

I suggest Vysoky Dum 99 in the Mala Strana (Little Quarter) for dinner.
