Niall Noígíallach (Old Irish "having nine hostages"),[1] or in English, Niall of the Nine Hostages, son of Eochaid Mugmedón, was an Irish king, the ancestor of the Uí Néill family that dominated Ireland from the 6th to 10th centuries. The rise of the Uí Néill dynasties and their conquests in Ulster and Leinster are not reliably recorded and have been the subject of considerable study and attempts to reconstruct them.

This impressive memorial is situated just outside Kyle of Lochalsh. He successfully defended and faithfully preserved the lands of Kintail and Lochalsh from 1715 to 1722 for his chief William, the exiled chief of Seaforth. 1330. A image from a slightly damaged negative [above the hull number], but still worth preserving for posterity. Again the date here is a puzzle. John Bastock's book 'Australia's Ships of War' states that in May 1946 HMAS MURCHISON was attached to the Radar and Anti-Submarine School at HMAS WATSON, in Sydney, and spent her time in training duties in the Sydney area. Not for the first time, Allan Green's photos demonstrate that the RAN ships were calling at Melbourne much more frequently…
