Birch head or Monte Scherbelino. No matter how you call the 511 m high mountain. For mountain bikers, it offers a fantastic view over the whole city. On a clear day, even the Swabian Alb, the northern Black Forest and the lowlands tower next to Stuttgart. Great escape from the city!

A great view over the "Stuttgarter Kessel". An ideal place for friends of the photo. From here you can make great long exposures downtown. Definitely worth a visit!

The weather is crucial in the Stuttgart boiler. If you want a good view from up there, you should not go up on a rainy and foggy day. Otherwise you will not see anything of the great city up there. Was the first time up when it rained in the fall and was very disappointed 😞.

But it is definitely worthwhile to run up again 😄

The view is good, but it is better to walk over the old stones and see and feel the witnesses of yesteryear

The moving history of the city of Stuttgart during World War II can be felt a bit on the Birkenkopf. A place you have to see!

At the top is a square with cross and steps. There are still some ruins from the Second World War to see, from which the birch head has been "built" in its present form.

The view from up here over Stuttgart is wonderful. There is no economy.

The birch head has grown after the war by about 40m - piled up from debris
