REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL HopeWorks is soliciting proposals from qualified firms interested in entering into an agreement for architectural design services as described herein. These services include but are not limited to the planning, design, and construction oversight for a single renovation project expected to span the next few months. The goal of this RFP is to select an architectural firm to partner with HopeWorks. The project is the renovation of the former Lilly Barrack building, located at 1216 4th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. The project is the renovation of existing space, which requires the construction of offices to accommodate Behavioral Health counselors. In total the area represents approximately 67,700 sq. ft. A proposer's preparation and submittal of a proposal or subsequent participation in presentations or contract negotiations creates no obligation on HopeWorks to award a contract or to pay any associated costs. Contract is currently contingent on a successful Environmental Assessment and contract funding through the City of Albuquerque. All proposals and related materials will be retained by HopeWorks. HopeWorks requires architectural and engineering services for the design services of the building renovations. The intent of this RFP is to solicit proposals for a single Contract for professional architectural and engineering design services for the facility. The design of the proposed improvements to the facility will be sensitive to the community which the clinic serves and to the clinic's mission. The renovation work consists of remodeling and replacement of HVAC and electrical components to convert into a behavioral health clinic. The location of the project site is 1216 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. All utilities including water, gas, sewer, electric, and communications are present in the building. The final design of the proposed clinic renovations will establish the extent of the work and reconciling the scope of work with the project budget. The design team will work with HopeWorks staff to ensure all relevant issues are addressed. The proposed clinic is expected to meet the operational needs of the clinic operator with space for delivering health care and administrative support. Specific functional spaces include, but are not limited to, examination rooms, pharmacy, workrooms, support spaces (reception and waiting lobby) administrative office space, storage and delivery receiving, and custodial workrooms. A conceptual development plan for the clinic has been completed. It was not developed beyond a concept, subsequently the scope of work of this project includes reconciling the plan with the specific needs of the proposed clinic and its budget. The previously completed plan will provide initial guidance, however, detailed planning, building program review and architectural and engineering design services are required. The official request for proposal and all requirements to bid may be obtained from HopeWorks by emailing Jlords@Hopeworksnm.org. This request for proposals does not commit HopeWorks to reimburse any costs incurred by the bidder in the preparation of proposal or for procurement of supplies. HopeWorks is the largest nonprofit organization in New Mexico working to end homelessness among individuals and families. Every year, approximately 11,000 men, women, and children receive day shelter, behavioral/mental, housing, and employment services.
