We don’t see her with her dad much these days (we’ll get in to that later), but Damon Dash‘s daughter Ava has grown up right before our eyes — and wow, is she a stunner!
Unfortunately, we can’t say she gets it from her daddy, in this case, clearly, it’s her mother, and fashion designer, Rachel Roy who Ava takes after in the beauty department. The mother-daughter duo stepped out over the weekend for the premiere of “The Way Back” and definitely set the carpet on fire!
And a host of other celebs were in the building as well to celebrate the new Warner film.
So, was Damon in attendance as well? Of course not. And if you watch “Growing Up Hip Hop” then you know why. Dash and Roy divorced in 2009, but not before they had two daughters, Ava and Tallulah. The two have had a tumultuous co-parenting relationship since. They were embattled in bitter custody battle and Rachel even accused him of domestic violence.
Unfortunately, it has continuously gotten worse. In November 2019, Dash was arrested for failing to pay more than $400,000 in child support. And just last week, on “GUHH”, Ava, alongside Damon’s son Boogie, revealed that her relationship with their dad had become even more strained after he called them “stupid” and “spoiled” during a family therapy session.

Hopefully, Damon Dash’s daughter, son, and entire family can mend their fractured relationship.
