NO CHRISTMAS MOVIES!
**GOOD horror movies ones that really take my mind off of my own endless nightmare. **but maybe some westerns. never got into them, but I'd like to **scifi, these are also good for fully immersive distraction and adult animated movies (not porn, the regular kind of animation) **weird foreign movies, weird anything movies really.
thank you
hopefully i can get at least a few recommendations and that would be so greatly appreciated.
TV shows work too :)
EDIT: thank you everyone for all these great suggestions. they are useless to me to today, as there really is no distraction from the awful reality of losing my mother, but they will be of great value for the weeks to come.
i wish everyone happy holidays.
It's an amazing heist movie. Yes, it starts off a bit slow but the hilarious-wacky-deadpan kind of a humour kept me from getting bored. Each Character's development was exceptional. And the story oh the story is so good. The cast did an amazing job. I mean Daniel Craig hit the ball out of the park with this one.
Need I say more? Go watch this movie!!! And Merry Christmas!!!
Edit:2007 2017
Love how Edgar Wright matches the choreography of the action sequences to the musical score. (e.g. a character shoots a gun and the sound effect is harmonized with the song)
Anyone know if any other movies that employ these editing tactics/ styles?
EDIT: thanks so much for all these suggestions everybody! Love this sub!!!
I saw About Time recently (loved it), I really like sci-fi and anything with a vibe lol. Some movies I have been considering are Call Me By Your Name, Lost in Translation, but looking for any advice. I like a variety of things so please don't hold back. That's all I got. Thanks in advance!
It's a semi autobiography of Pete Davidsons like growing up in Staten Island.
Ok, I may be very biased because I personally have BPD and this is the same disorder that Pete Davidson (the protagonist) openly has. I appreciate the fact that my perspective is skewed because I relate to his emotions throughout the film but even aside from that, I think it's a fantastic watch. I viewed it with my mum and she absolutely loved it. Also, Bill Burr surprisingly does a great job, I've never seen him act before!
This is one of the best Christmas movies I've ever seen. I don't want to give too much away, but this movie has so much going for it. The characters are great, as is the action. It's both funny and heartfelt. An amazing movie about a diverse range of Christmas experience, class divides, and how dignity and family should be enjoyed by all. Japanese anime master Satoshi Kon comes through again. But seriously, I can't recommend this one enough.
Can anyone suggest a movie of the last 10 years or so about a law man chasing someone with a western feel to it?
